Office: responsible for the financial work of the whole library and assisting the curator in handling daily administrative affairs.
Acquisition department: mainly engaged in book acquisition, ordering, acceptance registration, old books elimination, cancellation and other work.
Cataloging department: mainly responsible for the classification, cataloging, book distribution and catalogue organization of new books in Chinese and foreign languages in the whole library. The Ministry is divided into two groups according to languages: Chinese and foreign languages.
Information Department: mainly carries out information compilation and topic selection services inside and outside the school, and undertakes the task of offering literature retrieval courses for all students. There are four literature retrieval rooms in the Ministry.
Document retrieval room
This room mainly collects literature retrieval tools, such as abstracts, indexes and other reference books, involving physics, chemistry, engineering technology, electronics and electrician, biology, environment, management, information and so on. This room not only collects Chinese retrieval tools and periodicals, but also collects retrieval publications in English, Japanese and Russian. * * * There are four retrieval rooms, including two retrieval rooms in Sifang School District. This room should provide services for senior students to write graduation thesis, teachers to collect scientific research projects and search literature.
Technical department
It is the department responsible for library automation and network management, and mainly consists of two parts: the main computer room and the multimedia reading room.

2. Multimedia reading room
The multimedia reading room is located on the east side of the second floor of the library. The existing equipment includes 120 computers, a scanner, a printer and a jukebox server. The indoor computer and the CD tower server have been networked and directly connected to the campus network. The network connecting the multimedia reading room is the Internet, which has become a well-known global network resource. All computers in the multimedia room are directly connected to the Internet through the campus network, and readers can browse, access, print and download any needed information and application software conveniently. The second is the local area network in our room, where we can access all kinds of CD databases in the CD tower and all kinds of information in the library in the server.
The third is the CD-ROM database of Beijing Library. There are more than 70 large databases on the Internet, such as China Patent Database, China Chemical Literature Database, Biological Abstracts, Engineering Index, Metal Abstracts, British Scientific Abstracts, Food Science Abstracts, Sociological Abstracts and Library Information Abstracts. In addition to network resources, the multimedia reading room also contains all e-books of the library, including:
(1) CDs of domestic large-scale information resources databases, such as the full-text version of the scientific and technological literature database (published by Tsinghua University), contain the latest full-text scientific and technological articles in China. The CD-ROM database of China sci-tech periodicals (produced by Southwest Information Center of State Science and Technology Commission) contains the titles, authors, sources, publication dates and abstracts of sci-tech papers since 1987. The CD-ROM of "Newspaper Information Index" (published by China Renmin University) contains all the information indexes copied by others. Database CD-ROMs include China Newspapers Information Database CD-ROMs (published by Guangming Daily) and China Laws and Regulations CD-ROMs (published by China University of Political Science and Law).
(2) Various multimedia learning CDs. For example, the latest computer and operating system software, 3DS, CAD, PHOTOSHOP, and computer graphic design have hundreds of sets of teaching CDs.

Reading department
The reading department of this library undertakes the book reading work of the teachers and students of the whole school. There are two student reading rooms and two reference reading rooms in the main building of the library.
1. student liberal arts reading room
There are more than 20,000 books in this room, mainly social science books, including Marxism-Leninism, philosophy, general theory of social science, economics, foreign languages, literature, etc., and various reference books such as foreign language dictionaries are available for readers. This room has 300 reading seats and is open to all teachers and students all day.
2. Students' Science Reading Room
There are nearly 30 thousand books in this room, mainly natural science books, including introduction to natural science, mathematical physics, industrial technology, environmental science and so on. Among them, the key books are mathematics, physics and chemistry and industrial technology, and industrial technology mainly includes general industrial technology, mechanical instrument industry, electrician technology, radio electronics and telecommunications technology, automation technology, computing technology and chemical industry. This room is also equipped with some reference books for readers to use. This room is open to teachers and students all day. It has 300 seats and is divided into study area and reading area. You must have a library card to enter the reading area.
3. Reference reading room
This room collects more than 20,000 Chinese and foreign reference books, including Chinese and foreign dictionaries, vocabulary manuals, professional reference books and comprehensive reference books. This room also collects some ancient books and reference books, such as Siku Quanshu and Integration of Ancient and Modern Books. This room has 20 seats and provides services for all teachers.
Periodical department
The periodical department of our library is responsible for ordering and processing the periodicals of the whole library and providing periodical reading services to the outside world. It consists of seven rooms: Chinese periodical sign-in room, academic periodical reading room, literary periodical reading room, foreign language current issue reading room, Chinese back issue reading room, foreign language back issue reading room and newspaper reading room.
1. Academic periodical reading room
This room is open to all teachers and students. There are more than 800 kinds of periodicals on display indoors, covering political theory, economic management, language, literary theory, computer, mathematics, physics and chemistry, industrial technology, environmental science and other current issues. There are also 74 kinds of materials copied by the NPC, mainly including periodicals such as philosophy, politics, economy, law, literary theory, education and history. This room has 165 reading seats.
2. Literature periodical reading room
The room is also open to all teachers and students, and more than 290 kinds of literature, sports, art and comprehensive periodicals are exhibited indoors. There are 126 reading seats in the room.
3. Newspaper reading room
This room is open to all teachers and students, and there are more than 100 domestic major newspapers and some professional newspapers collected since the school was founded. Indoor reading seats 12, and newspaper columns in the library lobby.
4. Foreign periodical reading room
This room is only open to teachers and senior students, because the original and photocopy editions of foreign periodicals are limited and the editions are precious. There are more than 400 kinds of photocopied periodicals and more than 50 original periodicals in our room, covering philosophy, language, writing, economic management, physics, chemistry, computer, foreign trade, tourism and comprehensive periodicals. There are 24 reading seats in this room.
5. Reading room for back issues in Chinese and foreign languages
Since the establishment of our library, we have ordered more than 29,000 back issues in Chinese and foreign languages. This room is for teachers, graduate students and graduates to consult professional materials.
Circulation department
The circulation department is one of the main departments serving readers in our library. It provides borrowing and returning services for teachers, students and readers of the whole school. There are more than 530,000 books in the stacks. In order to make it convenient for readers to borrow books, all the stacks in the circulation department adopt the open-shelf borrowing method, and readers can look for books directly in the warehouse. The stacks on the second, third and fourth floors also adopt advanced computer management, which realizes the modernization of service means. The microcomputer system used in our library has the functions of management, statistics and system maintenance, which can meet the needs of readers in many aspects.
There are three stacks and two reading rooms under the circulation department. The liberal arts library on the second floor has a collection of about 250,000 books, mainly liberal arts books, including works on Marxism-Leninism, philosophy, introduction to social sciences, politics, law, military affairs, economy, culture, science, education, sports, language, literature, art, history and geography. There are about150,000 books in the science library on the third floor. Mainly scientific books: including introduction to natural science, mathematical physics, astronomy, earth science, biological science, medicine and health, agriculture, industry, transportation, aviation, aerospace, environmental science and comprehensive books. The library on the fourth floor is a comprehensive library, which mainly collects foreign original and photocopy books, with more than 50,000 volumes. The library of the former Institute of Textile Technology also has 6.5438+0.4 million books. The sample reading room is located on the fourth floor, which is the collection room of our library. Books in the room are not lent out, and are only for the use of teachers and graduate students in our school.
In order to ensure the integrity of the library's collection, make readers make full use of the collection and safeguard the interests of teachers and students, the library has formulated various rules and regulations, mainly including the circulation department's readers' borrowing rules, readers' warehousing rules, some provisions on students' borrowing books and periodicals, and compensation provisions for the loss and damage of the library's collection, among which the circulation department's readers' borrowing rules and readers' warehousing rules require readers to borrow books and periodicals. Violators will be punished by the library, such as suspension of borrowing, fines and cancellation of borrowing rights. It is hoped that readers will abide by the rules and regulations in lending activities, benefiting others and benefiting themselves. The main building of East Campus Library15000m2 is located in the center of East Campus. The East Branch Library has six stacks, four reading rooms, three multimedia reading rooms and a music appreciation room, with a collection of nearly 500,000 books, which directly serves the teachers and students of the whole school.
Liberal arts library: collecting books on social sciences, literature and art, history and geography. The library implements the integrated management of borrowing and lending, and has 100 reading seats.
Science library: it collects books on natural science, computer and engineering technology, and it is also integrated management, with 68 reading seats.

Multimedia reading room: including the third and fourth floors, with more than 240 computers and a VOD server, readers can conveniently study and use electronic resources on the campus network online.
