Teaching materials for archaeology and museum science
There are many books about museum science. I majored in museum science at Jilin University. The professor recommended us to read (1) Gui Wenya: Falling in Love with Museums, Guangxi Normal University Press, 2003;

(2)[ English] Kenneth Hudson: "Museums in the 1980s-A Summary of World Trends", Palace Museum Press, 1986 edition.

(3) National Cultural Heritage Administration and China Museum Society: Museum Display Art, 1997 edition;

(4) Bess Publishing Co., Ltd.: Museum and Art Center, Jiangxi Science and Technology Press, 200 1 edition;

(5) Fu Zhenlun: Introduction to Museology, Commercial Press, 1957 edition;

(6) Ma Jixian: General Theory of Museology, Sichuan University Press,1994;

(7) Li Xianyao: A New Compilation of Museology, Jiangsu Science and Technology Press,1983;

(8) Meng Jianming: Outline of Museology Research, Northwest University Press,1994;

(9) Soviet Institute of Museology: Fundamentals of Soviet Museology, Cultural Relics Publishing House, 1957 edition;

(10) Cultural Relics Bureau of the Ministry of Culture: Introduction to Museology in China, Cultural Relics Publishing House,1995;

(1 1) Wang Hongjun: Foundation of Museology in China, Shanghai Ancient Books Publishing House, 1990. Personal recommendation

1. If you want to know the academic origin of museums, compare Fu Zhenlun's Introduction to Museology with the Soviet Union's Fundamentals of Museology.

2. If you want to know the basic knowledge of museums, please read Wang Hongjun's Fundamentals of Museology in China.

3. To understand one aspect of western museology, please read Kenneth Hudson's Museums in the 1980s-An Overview of World Trends.

4. If you want to do some research on museology, you can look at Meng Jianming's Outline of Museology Research. At least some important works before the 1990s are collected here.

By the way, Jilin University's museum science ranks second in the country. If you like it, you are welcome!
