A series of political films "Holding up the Sun of Tomorrow" jointly produced by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Working Group of Minors' Ideological and Moral Construction of the Central Civilization Office, CCTV and Guangxi TV Station was broadcast on CCTV 1, 1 and 12 in June 2005, which aroused strong social repercussions. The 9 episodes of the film highlight the positive efforts and achievements made by various localities and departments in strengthening and improving the ideological and moral construction of minors in the past year from different aspects and levels such as schools, society and families, and reflect the support and participation of the broad masses and all sectors of society in the ideological and moral construction of minors. Since the shooting started in June 2004, the film crew has traveled all over the country 13 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government, and interviewed more than 10 heads of state ministries and commissions and many experts, scholars, teachers, parents and students.
