The college entrance examination of Xinshao No.2 Middle School can reach a new level every year, thanks to the efforts of the school leadership team headed by President Zhong Yueping to improve the school conditions and careful management, which has formed a school-running model with the characteristics of No.2 Middle School. The school has complete facilities and two high-standard teaching buildings. The new science and technology office building put into use in the next phase in 2006 includes physics and chemistry laboratory, language lab and multimedia room, which can fully meet the learning needs of students. In addition, hardware facilities such as student canteens and student apartments have been built, and the second middle school has complete facilities and elegant environment. On the other hand, the school has made great efforts to improve the quality of teachers and teaching. In the past three years, teachers' papers and teaching competitions have won 3 national prizes, 25 provincial prizes, 76 municipal prizes and 43 county prizes.

In order to make up for the shortage of teaching resources and poor information in rural areas, the school took the lead in opening two live classes of distance education in the city in 2005.
