What are the rules for handling unclaimed things confiscated by urban management?
Unclaimed items confiscated by urban management shall be handled in accordance with Article 9 of the Measures for the Custody and Disposal of Items Withheld by Urban Management Law Enforcement. Urban management and law enforcement departments shall, according to relevant information, deal with the withheld items that are not accepted within the time limit according to the following principles: (1) Items that have auction value and can be auctioned shall be auctioned by auction houses. (two) fruits, vegetables and other fresh goods as the case may be donated to public welfare institutions or destroyed by the city appearance and environmental sanitation service units. (3) Cultural relics under state protection shall be handled by the cultural relics management department. (4) Gold and silver (excluding gold and silver ornaments) shall be purchased by the gold management department. (five) groceries with recycling value are purchased by the waste purchasing department, and others are treated as waste. (six) books, paintings, magazines and other publications to the district, street (town) reading room or children's palace, library processing. (seven) other projects according to the relevant provisions of the state. The proceeds from auction and other disposal shall be turned over to the state treasury in accordance with regulations.
