Adhering to the tenet of "service first, reader first", Anqing Library devotes itself to document guarantee ability and digital construction, vigorously advocates reading for all people, provides universal and equal public cultural services for all kinds of people in society, protects people's basic cultural rights and interests, continuously expands service fields, improves service level and improves reader satisfaction rate. Efforts have been made to build a public library service system covering urban and rural areas, and more than 50 branch libraries and grass-roots libraries (rooms) have been established in communities, villages, enterprises, schools and the military (police), with an annual service of 280,000 person-times, which has achieved good social benefits.
