Who is Wei?
Wei (1940 ~), a scientific and technological worker, is the leader of China Arctic expedition. 1940 was born in Pingdu, Shandong. 1962 was admitted to Beijing Institute of Geology to study geophysical exploration. 1967 After graduation, he was assigned to the Institute of Geology, Chinese Academy of Sciences to engage in the exploration and research of earthquake causes and earthquake prediction. 1978 was included in the Institute of Geology, State Seismological Bureau. 198 1 year to be a visiting scholar in the United States, 1982+00 year to go to the South Pole. Since then, he has forged an indissoluble bond with the two poles. 1983 after returning to China, he devoted his spare time to the comprehensive research of Antarctica. His major works include Strange Continent-Antarctica, Antarctic Dream and the Call of the North Pole.

199 1 In June, Wei went to the Arctic Eskimo settlement in Alaska for a month and a half, becoming the first China person to make friends with Eskimos directly. 1992 After returning to China, on the basis of a comprehensive study of the Arctic issue, he began to call on China to conduct an Arctic expedition.

After several years' efforts, China's first Arctic scientific expedition, sponsored by China Association for Science and Technology and organized by China Academy of Sciences, was formed. Hua Meng, the general manager, led a team of 25 people, risked their lives and overcame many difficulties, and successfully reached the North Pole on May 6th 1995.

His first trip to the North Pole alone gave him great pride.

The road of life is unpredictable. After Wei went to the South Pole from the United States in 1982, he had an indissoluble bond with the two poles of the earth. 1990, officially opened.

I began to plan to explore the Arctic alone. The first thing we encounter is the problem of funds. He described his mood at that time like this: "If you want money, you will die. If someone is willing to pay a little money, I can spare your life. " Fortunately, after many trips, Wei finally got the joint funding from the office of the National Antarctic Scientific Investigation Committee. So, in June of 199 1, he ran to the North Pole alone.

When I first arrived at the North Pole, just as when I first arrived at the South Pole, Wei's heart was greatly impacted. The Arctic is the hometown of almost all migratory birds. For example, eiderdown ducks come from Aleutian Islands, with moss.

The original swan comes from the east coast of America, the black goose comes from Mexico, the Saibeni seagull comes from Chile, the Maier bird comes from East Africa, the short-tailed seagull comes from Tasmania, and the white-tailed sandpiper comes from.

In Tierra del Fuego, snipes come from the east coast of Malaysia and China. This is just a migratory bird observed in the Arctic of Alaska. The Arctic is indeed the hometown and happy place of migratory birds all over the world.

Earth. They flew all the way here because it is clean, quiet, far away from human society and there is no danger. But now all this is being destroyed. The polluted atmosphere is condensed on the Arctic Ocean, acid rain is destroying large grasslands, oil exploitation pollutes seawater, noise interference changes the environment, and it is becoming more and more difficult for birds to survive here. The material civilization of human beings is not only obtained from nature by direct or indirect means, but also often at the expense of the harmony and perfection of nature. Perhaps, many people don't realize it or are unwilling to admit it, but it's true.

He is the author of Strange Continent-Antarctica, Antarctic Politics and Law, The Mystery of Lemmings, Antarctica and Man (TV feature film, in which Wei is one of the main planners and screenwriters), Antarctic Dream (Wei and Liu Xiaohan), American Random Thoughts and Antarctic Dream Theory, Who exactly belongs to Antarctica (Wei and Hu Lingtai), and Wei is one of the main planners and screenwriters), bird's eye view of the Arctic (Liu Xiaohan, Wei), going to the Arctic, living in the Arctic (Wei, Wang), dreaming of the South Pole, flying the soul to the North Pole, going to the top of the earth-China marching into the Arctic (cooperating with people), bipolar documentary, the greatest hunter-Alaskan Arctic Eskimo (cooperating with people), looking at the future from the Arctic to Hawaii.
