On Peking University's Reading Teaching
A sense of inferiority strikes, and this book shows me too grand a cultural scene. This is the biggest cultural storm that has hit me so far. Made by teacher Yu.

A long time ago, maybe more than ten years ago, I read Yu's Cultural Journey. It was a best seller at that time, but I couldn't finish reading it. I was deeply impressed by the article The Towers, but not by Yu. Many years later, I watched the Cultural Journey again, and I felt completely different. I have more respect and admiration for Yu. This book is still beside the bed. You can write down your thoughts after reading it.

This book "Teaching at Peking University-Forty-seven Lectures on China Culture" was picked up by accident when reading "Cultural Journey" in the library. I couldn't put it down as soon as I read it, so I put aside the book "Cultural Journey" for the time being and spent nearly two weeks reading it. I think it is necessary for me to choose some books to read more systematically according to the context of China culture. Perhaps, let's have a look at Yu's books first.

This book is divided into two parts. The first part is Yu's answers to students in Taiwan Province. It was these wonderful questions and answers that attracted me. Yu's words in "Cultural Journey" are gorgeous, which makes me feel that he is a bit pretentious and ostentatious. In these on-the-spot questions and answers, I sincerely admire, envy and marvel at Yu's witty remarks. At the same time, especially the questioning of mainland students shows profound cultural background and maturity, which makes me feel that China has a large population and elites gather in top universities.

The second part is a record of Yu giving lectures at Peking University. Once again, I am amazed at the cultural accomplishment of those Peking University students, which can be described in one or two words. Cow, awesome. Ha ha. The book Yu is basically told along the historical context. However, the way of lectures is not simply to explain historical events in chronological order, but to start with cultural events and schools of various times, especially representative figures. Vivid and interesting. Such a thin book clearly shows the long vein of Chinese civilization in front of me, and it really feels like a big meal. A little more vulgar, perhaps it can be described as enjoying a gluttonous cultural meal.

Speaking of pre-Qin civilization, Confucius and Taoism, Mozi and Mencius, etc. Talk about Buddhism again, talk about the integration of Buddhism and traditional Confucianism and Taoism culture in China; On the significance of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty's crusade against Xiongnu for the preservation of China culture: Tang poetry, Tang Wenhua, Longmen Grottoes, and sorting the poets in the Tang Dynasty; Talking about calligraphy and painting; On Song Ci, Song economic development and civil service system; On Yuan Qu, Ming and Qing culture, novels, literary inquisition in Qing Dynasty, and cultural imprisonment. Many cultural phenomena are unheard of, and many cultural perspectives make me feel very novel and shocking.

When I was studying, I always compared him with nan huaijin and compared their level and style. There has been no result, and it is a blur. Read the whole book to cover up the aftertaste. Suddenly there was an answer. What nan huaijin learned was more complicated, and he dabbled in more traditional Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism ancient books, and he also had a strong memory. Like his predecessors who entered the realm of transformation, his lectures and articles have returned to the original, and there is no requirement for the audience, so he can make profound ancient prose easy to understand and interesting.

I have the impression that he is a person who studies modern literature more, but he is not a master, but should be a chef. Cook the culture exquisitely and meticulously, and the typical exquisite literati in Jiangsu and Zhejiang explain the culture exquisitely and beautifully, which has certain literary basic requirements for the audience. He is a middle-aged scholar.

The two have something in common. It is their responsibility to promote Chinese culture. Some people are narcissistic and think highly of themselves, perhaps because of their high sense of cultural responsibility, which gives them a sense of detachment, which naturally radiates. And tireless teaching. Then there is the deep love for culture. This may be nonsense.

Read such a wonderful book It is really wrong to gossip here without realizing anything.
