Bazhou City is located in the east of Jizhong Plain, Hebei Province. It is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of the province (hosted by Langfang City, one of the first counties and cities in Hebei Province). Located in the center of the Beijing-Tianjin-Baoding triangle, it belongs to the urban agglomeration around Beijing, Tianjin and Bohai Sea. It is 80 kilometers north of Beijing, 70 kilometers east of Tianjin, and 65 kilometers west of Baoding, an ancient city. Song people said: "The key to the three passes is actually the pivot of Jizhong", and there is a record that "the Emperor Pavilion is close to all countries, and pedestrians look at Yanshan Mountain here". Bazhou is rich in underground hot springs with good water quality. In 2008, it was named as the hometown of hot springs by the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources.
In 2006, Bazhou Municipal People's Government invested heavily in the construction of Li Memorial Hall and Li Grand Theatre. The Yijing Academy was rebuilt and Bazhou Library was built. In 2008, the first phase project of Huaxia Folk Collection Museum and Fangsheng Ancient Town was completed, and the China Bicycle Museum settled in Bazhou. These cultural facilities are important measures for the construction of Bazhou cultural city, adding new highlights to Bazhou.
