Li Dazhao (1889- 1927), a native of Laoting, Hebei Province, was the earliest Marxist in China, the founder and early leader of China * * * Production Party. During the May 4th Movement, some intellectuals who had awakened were lost again. Standing on the commanding heights of the times, Li Dazhao foresaw that the Chinese nation was undergoing a new turning point and called on the people to open a new era in history.
