Southwest Jiaotong University Library consists of Chengdu Jiuli Campus Library, Xipu Campus Library, Emei Campus Library and reference rooms of various departments. The library has a total area of 593 16 square meters, 5,254 reading seats and a total of 3.7 million paper books. Chengdu Jiuli Campus Library was built in 199 1 year, with an area of 1696 1 m2, 1765438 reading seats and 10 books. Xipu Campus Library was completed in August 2007, with an area of 36,000 square meters and 2,000 reading seats. There are nearly 400,000 books; Emei Campus Library was built in 198 1 year, with an area of 6,355 square meters, 1324 reading seats and a collection of nearly 430,000 books. The branch and department reference rooms have 220 reading seats and 360,000 books.
