Dengfeng Songyang Senior High School is a model high school in Zhengzhou and a civilized school in Henan Province. The school was founded in 2003, when it enrolled students. It is a full-time ordinary high school directly under the Dengfeng Municipal Government.

The school is located at the foot of Zhongyue Songshan Mountain in the northern section of Songyang Road in Dengfeng City, a famous tourist city in China. It is adjacent to Songyang Academy, one of the four major academies in ancient China, with Shaolin Temple, a Buddhist shrine in the west, and Zhongyue Temple, a famous Taoist temple in the east, where Zheng Shao, Luoshao and Xushao expressways meet.
