Mine is N70, and this is how I operate it. First, there should be notepad software in the mobile phone, and then copy the files to the memory card with a card reader, just like you said, create a folder. Then open it with notepad, or search with e-book software, but my book format is UMD. Another way is that you can download an office software to your mobile phone and use it to open it.
