Teacher Liu Mingchun in Memory —— Prose Story
Chatting with a literary friend in my hometown online, I realized that Teacher Liu Mingchun of the County Cultural Center had passed away. In the 1980s, I met Mr. Liu and was taught by him, which came to my mind again and again.

My first contact with Mr. Liu was in the autumn of 1983, and the county cultural center held a creative class. Although it was near the end of the meeting when I received the notice because I lived far away, it was still a rare learning opportunity for a beginner writer like me. Besides, two teachers in the museum, Mr. Liu Mingchun and Mr. Xiao, have always been writers I respect and admire, and I dream of meeting them. At that time, Mr. Xiao was seconded to the County Party History Office.

I rushed to the cultural center, and the next day was the meeting time, so Mr. Liu stayed to revise the manuscript. In my spare time, I go shopping with Mr. Liu. It turns out that after graduating from normal school, Mr. Liu went to the countryside to work in a very remote Xi Zhong and worked as a teacher with the members there. Later, he was transferred to the county cultural center to do mass cultural work.

A week's revision time passed quickly. I didn't change a satisfactory work, but it inspired my enthusiasm for learning to write. I was waiting for the bus to go home at the station when I happened to see a young man in a red sweatshirt running by the side of the road. When I got home, I wrote "Morning Runner-Written in a Small Town". Because of this trip to the county seat and having been to Yichang before, I wrote "I am walking on the streets of the city"-these are two poems in the group poem "Mountain Road leads to Mountain".

1In the early winter of 984, I received a call for papers for Contemporary Poetry, and at the same time, I saw the notice of the main contents of Contemporary Poetry in China Youth Daily: my group poem "Mountain Road Leads Beyond the Mountain" will be published on the front page of the magazine, and the famous poet Fan Xiao wrote a comment. Just before the Spring Festival this year, I received a letter from teacher Liu Mingchun again, asking me to go to the county cultural center to study writing for a period of time. The letter said that because I am alone, the time is up to me, but the sooner the better. 1985 After the Spring Festival, I went to the county cultural center in March. Teacher Liu showed me all the poems collected on his bookshelf-but I somehow bumped into the county library and borrowed a magazine to read. I don't know how long a middle-aged man stood behind me Maybe this person thinks I'm a country boy and is curious about studying here. When he learned that I was studying writing in the county cultural center, he told the library staff with great concern that I could read all the books at will. Afterwards, I talked to Mr. Liu about it, only to know that this middle-aged man is Mr. Zhang Xizhou, the librarian who has read his article before. He gave me the green light.

Although Mr. Liu's articles are sophisticated and clear-headed, they are sometimes more like children. Once, I went back to the cultural center from the library. As soon as Mr. Liu saw me, he said, "Tang Xiao, I have good news for you!" ! Guess how much your group of poems cost-he means "the mountain road leads beyond the mountain". How should I know! He said: I told you, you must have squinted with laughter! Is it that serious? I think. He's still selling me suspense! Finally, he took out the notice of manuscript fee and told me: you are the Changyang author who got the highest manuscript fee at one time. Teacher Liu is happier than me at this time. It turns out that this payment list has been mailed to Qiu Zi, but I am in the county cultural center, and this list has returned to the county seat.

In the early winter of this year, I went to Liaoning Writers Association to attend the pen meeting of young writers of contemporary poetry. I had already bought a train ticket for Yichang, but after several entanglements, I returned the ticket and went home. Back to Changyang, I still stay in the county cultural center. When Mr. Liu learned about it, he refused to let me go back to Qiu Zi. He told me a few baskets of great truths and great truths earnestly ... it seems that I am going to be forced to go to Liangshan.

At that time, the train from Yichang to Beijing was every two days. In order not to delay any longer, Mr. Liu asked me to take a long-distance bus to Hankou, and then Wuchang took the train to Beijing and ................................................................................................................................................ He insisted on sending me to the bus.

The next day, before dawn. I bought a ticket at the station, and as soon as I sat down, Mr. Liu hurried here. Before the clothes could be buttoned, the shoes were put on at random-it was the first time I saw him in such a mess. I'm afraid he didn't sleep well all night. I forgot the alarm clock.

That night, he could only turn on the light again and again and look at the time from his watch for fear of oversleeping. He must be worried about me, afraid that I will become a deserter again. That's why I got up so early to send me here.

The bus started slowly, and Miss Liu still stood there looking at me. Looking back, I felt a surge of sadness and tears welled up in my eyes. ...

I miss him, dear Miss Liu!
