Library journal introduced.
Library journal, co-sponsored by Shanghai Library Society and Shanghai Library, was first published on June 1982. It used to be quarterly, changed from 1987 to bimonthly, and changed from 1999 to monthly. Starting from 1997, a theoretical academic journal of 300,000 words is issued every year. Since 2003, the magazine has officially published the International Standard Book Number every year. Library journal was inscribed by Gu, a famous bibliographer and calligrapher of ancient books. The cover was designed by the famous artist Qian Juntao with the help of his student Gu Hua. The characters "Shu" in the inscriptions on bronze wares in the Zhou Dynasty are arranged obliquely, and each character ring is filled with the sub-glyph pattern used in the family emblem of early bronzes. The overall design shows solemn and simple classical beauty and sense of the times.
