The school has a high-standard reading room with elegant environment and complete facilities, and is equipped with a large number of picture books suitable for junior students. Later, the Love Reading Foundation donated 1500 quality picture books to the school. After careful selection by teachers, a series of "sweet" and "warm" world-winning picture books came to the children-Diary of Earthworms, Grandpa must have a way, Hungry Caterpillar, Flower Popo, Guess how much I love you and so on.
In order to ensure the effectiveness of picture book teaching, the school explores the classroom mode of "picture book reading recommendation class-picture book reading guidance class-picture book reading sharing class", and adopts five major actions of "reading picture books, guessing picture books, appreciating picture books, understanding picture books and acting out picture books" to let children develop their language, guess the plot, exercise their thinking, appreciate pictures, enhance their aesthetics, understand the connotation of picture books, cultivate their quality and improve their aesthetics. At the same time, picture book classroom teaching is integrated with reading class, activity practice class, art class, writing class and dream class, so that students can accumulate in reading, feel in action, integrate in painting, improve in writing, innovate in painting, realize the integration with curriculum resources, lay a good foundation for "language construction and application" and do a good job in "thinking development and promotion" enlightenment.
In the picture book class, children learn how to discover and think from I Have Friendship for Rent. I felt the warmth of maternal love when I bought gloves from a fox, and I learned how to adjust my emotions from the angry soup. We are surprised to see the change of children. They can say many beautiful words such as "life", "miracle" and "love". They really become caterpillars in The Hungry Caterpillar. In order to turn cocoons into butterflies, they try to absorb nutrition from books.
Reading picture books enriches children's language accumulation. With enough "input", children can't wait to put their thoughts and feelings into paper and pen, so a list of picture books is "output", and vivid and thoughtful reading, writing and painting works flow in children's hands. They expressed their views on "courage" with a pen: "Courage means raising your hand boldly in class and resolutely leaving after watching TV for half an hour"; In his works, he described his wish: "I want to build a mobile library and send it to poor mountainous areas, so that children can sit in the library and study quietly and fly their dreams ..." The seeds of good humanity are spread in children's lives through stories and brushes.
In the teaching practice of this topic, the English teachers of the research group combine picture books with English teaching and derive the English picture book course. There is a picture book reading class every week, a picture book writing exercise every month, a self-made picture book contest every semester, and an English skill contest every year. Teachers and students go all the way, grope all the way, and gain all the way. After three stages of "teacher's demonstration and guidance, picture books entering the classroom-teachers and students reading, writing, performing, picture books upgrading-school-based textbook compilation and curriculum system construction", based on "participants-teaching resources and supporting facilities-curriculum setting-flipping, reading, assisting, describing, performing and creating", the development of this picture book curriculum system also makes us feel.
