Boda College of Jilin Normal University has a relatively large area. The school has two campuses, covering an area of more than 660,000 square meters. Boda College of Jilin Normal University started construction at the end of 1999. In April 2000, it was officially approved by Jilin Provincial Education Commission as the second-level college of Jilin Normal University, and the first batch of freshmen enrolled in the same autumn. In March 2004, it was approved as an independent college by the Ministry of Education.
