School of Information Management of Zhengzhou University was established in 1985. It is the training base of books, information, archives and information management professionals in Henan Province, and the ranking of disciplines in the country remains at the forefront. At present, there are 3 teaching and research sections of information management and information system, library science and archives science, 4 professional laboratories, 2 multimedia classrooms and 2 microcomputer rooms, and there are 160 machines for students to practice on the computer. The Literature Center has more than 10000 Chinese and foreign books and more than 70 Chinese and foreign periodicals.

There are three undergraduate majors in undergraduate education: library science, information management and information system, and archival science. Library science is a science that studies the occurrence, development, organization and management of libraries and the laws of library work, aiming at cultivating senior talents with strong innovation consciousness, research ability and management ability for the development of library disciplines and work practice.

College faculty:

The School of Information Management has 43 faculty members, including 9 professors and1associate professors, accounting for 55% of full-time teachers. There are 25 doctors, accounting for 67% of full-time teachers. Four are distinguished professor of Zhengzhou University, two are members of the Teaching Steering Committee of Archives and Library Science of the Ministry of Education, six are recognized as outstanding young and middle-aged backbone teachers in Henan Province, 1 is recognized as outstanding talents in colleges and universities in Henan Province in the new century, and seven are recognized as outstanding young and middle-aged backbone teachers in Zhengzhou University.

With a team of teachers with rich teaching experience, strong scientific research strength, clear academic direction and reasonable discipline and academic structure, all academic leaders have certain academic status and influence in the country.
