How about Melbourne Victoria State Library? Are there any interesting places?
Victoria Library is located in downtown Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is one of the largest libraries in the world, the oldest public library in Australia, the top reference and research library in the state and the gateway to the world information. Victoria Library was established in 1854 (the foundation stone was laid at the same time as the University of Melbourne), opened in 1856, and has a collection of 2 million volumes. Designed for local architect Joseph Reid, who also designed Melbourne City Hall. Many items displayed in the library show the cultural life, history and present situation of Victoria, and are open to the society through a series of services, exhibitions and cultural activities. Its establishment is attributed to the efforts of many outstanding Melbourne citizens, such as Sir raymond barry and Charles Joseph La Trobe, the deputy governor. At first, the vision of the library was very grand, including "all-round first-class experience" and becoming "a large-scale complex integrating learning, philosophy, literature, science and art". It is also famous for its large dome reading room built in 19 13. 1. Closed on Good Friday, Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. Other holidays are 10:00- 18:00 (the gallery is open until 17:00). 2. Provide free wifi and sockets.
