Shaw Museum has mainly collected copies of ordinary books since 2000. The new campus library pays attention to the integrity of all kinds of literature resources such as ordinary books, ancient books, Chinese and foreign newspapers and periodicals. The two libraries form an integrated layout with distinctive resource characteristics and complementary service functions.
The total collection of various documents is about 3.7 million volumes, including 6.5438+0.23 million volumes of paper documents in the Central Library and 730,000 volumes of paper documents in the branch libraries of various colleges. 654.38+0.74 million electronic books and periodicals. There are more than 400 kinds of large-scale series and books in the collection, mainly including the photocopied edition of Wen Yuan Gesi Ku Quanshu, the continuation of Siku Quanshu, the catalogue of Siku Quanshu, the supplement of Siku Bibliography, the collection of books not collected in Siku Quanshu, the restricted collection of Siku, the rare edition of Chinese reconstruction, the collection of Hui people and the collection of Hui people. In addition, there are more than 500 rubbings in the collection, more than 200 historical charts 1200, and 486 volumes of Dunhuang suicide note films. These precious documents have high historical and cultural values and become unique literature resources in our library.
Since the new century, electronic literature, as a new collection information resource, has become an important part of collection construction together with traditional paper collections. In order to adapt to the development of readers' access to literature in the information age, the library has strengthened the construction of electronic literature resources and continuously increased the types of purchasing various Chinese and foreign literature databases. At present, more than 500,000 kinds of e-books, more than 6,543.8+0,000 kinds of audio-visual materials and more than 30 Chinese and foreign literature databases are ordered every year, which is about 6,543.8+0.74 million copies according to the Digital Resources Measurement Guide of University Libraries. The collection resources have now formed a relatively perfect collection system covering paper documents, electronic documents and online virtual documents.
