On June 5, 2007, the 22nd meeting of the 13th the NPC Standing Committee passed the revised Law on the Protection of Minors.
The revised Law on the Protection of Minors is divided into general provisions, family protection, school protection, social protection, network protection, government protection, judicial protection, legal liability and supplementary provisions, with nine chapters 132. This law shall come into force as of June, 20021year.
This revision has many bright spots in strengthening the responsibility of family guardianship and strengthening the network protection of minors. Among them, the safety education and protection of minors, the cultivation of frugality awareness and network protection have been made more specific and clear, further compacting the main responsibilities of guardians, schools and network service providers.
