Jiangning Weaving Museum is located in Daxing Palace, Nanjing. It is a modern museum built by Wu, a famous architect and academician of the two academies, on the former site of Jiangning Weaving. "Jiangning Weaving" is an official organization specializing in the production of royal and official satin in Qing Dynasty. From Kangxi to Qianlong, Jiangning weaving department gradually became the emperor's southern tour palace, with an unprecedented scale. Jiangning weaving department lasted for more than 260 years and witnessed the vicissitudes of the Qing Dynasty from prosperity to decline.
Jiangning Weaving Hall will reproduce the history of Jiangning Weaving House, which was established in Shunzhi period of Qing Dynasty and abolished in Guangxu period. Jiangning Weaving Institute has been brilliant for more than 200 years, and Kangxi made six southern tours and checked in five times. Jiangning Weaving Museum will exhibit a 4D version of Kangxi's southern tour map.
Jiangning Weaving Museum has Xiaohonglou Library, where citizens can consult the materials of A Dream of Red Mansions, and also display several versions of A Dream of Red Mansions by Cao Xueqin and related exhibits.
