Four truths:
The specific content of the four truths method:
First, bitterness: it is the bitter fruit in the three realms. There are three kinds of suffering, eight kinds of suffering, and endless suffering.
Three bitterness, one, bitterness. All living beings are influenced by four colors: general, flood, strong wind and fire. The color of the human body is the root of all pain, and all kinds of distressing situations will force this body to suffer. The ancients said,' the body is the root of all pain.' He also said,' I'm in big trouble, but I have a body. If I have no body, what will my husband suffer? Zen master Lion Peak said,' Only with this body can I believe that I am the source of suffering. I am greedy for the happiness in the world, so happiness is the cause of suffering. This is bitter.
Second, bad, bitter. All the situations we have suffered before, whether bitter or happy, are impermanent, hypocritical and unreal, like dreams, like flowers in the air, unreal and unreal. Even if some circumstances are called "happiness", they are not long-lasting, and happiness is painful. It's important to know that the world is made, born, bad and empty, everything is made, lived, changed and destroyed, and all beings are made, aged, sick and dead. Everything has changed. It's ruined. This is called evil suffering.
Third, suffering, that is, the seventh knowledge of yin migration, thinking about life and death for a moment, constantly. If Confucius looks at the flowing water, he sighs:' The deceased is like a husband, staying up all night.' In other words, the bitterness from yin to flow is bitter. In addition to the three sufferings of human nature, there are three sufferings of wanting to be in the world and wanting to be in the world. The heaven and man in the four Zen days in the color world, although purely out of desire, have no suffering, but still have evil and suffering. Although heaven and man in the colorless world are destined for heaven, it is inevitable that they will move around and miss the pain of birth, illness and death. In short, the three realms and heaven are the highest level of heaven and man's thought, with a life span of 80,000. But like all heaven and man, once their blessings are exhausted, they will degenerate and get retribution. The scripture once said:' 80,000 robberies ended in vain, and three thousand lives will not die.' He also said,' Giving and keeping precepts is like shooting an arrow in vain. When the strength is exhausted, the arrow falls, which makes the afterlife unhappy.'
Once upon a time, there was an emperor who was proficient in Buddhism and vaginal management. On one occasion, an imperial edict was issued to summon eminent monks from famous ancient temples all over the country to meet the DPRK. Many monks came to see the emperor in neat clothes. At the same time, Your Majesty instructed the guards that when the monks arrived, they should come in from the sword and greatly improve the military power. At this time, many big monks suddenly heard about it. They were surprised and scared and knelt down one after another. Only an old monk in rags came in from the knife and appeared in front of him. The emperor asked, monk, aren't you afraid of death? A:' I don't know how many lives and deaths I have suffered since the infinite robbery. "am I still afraid of death today?" the emperor said with great pleasure. "you know it's cloudy! This is the pain of moving from one place to another!
What is eight bitterness? First, suffering. When people are born, they cry and suffer. Because there is a wind knife scraping the body, there is a lot more pain. Only the baby knows that he is dumb and has no mouth to say. Second, old bitterness. Life is alive, from little to long, from long to old, which is the law of development. Once upon a time, a Zen master said it well:' Gradually the goose-skin crane will grow, and watch the dragon bell. If you rest for a while before giving happiness, it will inevitably lead to aging and disability. Speaking of which, it's really painful. Old people have a deep understanding. Third, suffering from illness. In this world, there are four ills and many diseases. Not only a minor illness is bitter, but a serious illness is more bitter. Being sick for many years is really hard. You can't live, but you can't die It's really bitter! Medical workers will have a deeper understanding. Fourth, death is bitter. If people live, there must be death when they live, and no one is born without death. This is a natural law and an eternal objective fact. You can be happy, but impermanence will come. The so-called floating life is easy, it is a long residence; The illusion is not firm, but it will eventually be erased. When people die, there are four kinds of dispersion, and all kinds of sufferings are faced. When impermanence comes, everything stops and everything suffers. Sakyamuni Buddha once asked several disciples,' How many lives are there?' Someone replied, "Life is at stake." The Buddha said,'No.' Asked another disciple, he replied,' human life is in the dining room', and the Buddha said,' that's not right either. Let's think about how long it takes to kill people! Finally, the Buddha asked another disciple, who said,' Life is in breath. Buddha said,' That's right. Our life is really a breath, alas, forever, everything is empty. The Buddhist scripture says: life will be reduced as time goes by. How can we be happy without fish and water? The public should be diligent, such as saving the head without burning, but their thoughts are impermanent and cannot be ignored. Buddha decided to become a monk in order to solve the life and death distress of himself and all living beings. Fifth, love is inseparable from pain. We all have love for parents, couples, brothers and sisters. Once you get where you want to go, it's really painful. The so-called "powerless", not "can't", tears like rain, heart like a knife. It's painful. It's painful. The ancients said,' Husband and wife are predestined friends, or good karma, or bad karma. If a child is in debt, he must pay it or pay it, and he can't come without it. "I hope everyone understands this truth and will naturally feel at ease, stay away from troubles and hardships, and live a clean and happy life. Sixth, grievances will be very bitter. Whenever I see someone who is wronged, my heart is very painful. Especially among family members, enemies and opponents, or hatred and discord, are inseparable and inseparable. Living together is really painful. There are many such examples at all times and in all countries. Seven, nothing. In this world, we all have the desire of color, sound, smell, taste and touch the dust, or the environment of wealth, color, fame, food and sleep. It's really painful For example, people pursue fame and fortune, but they are notorious in Sun Shan. They pursue wealth, but they lose their children and grandchildren. They pursue wealth, but they pursue poverty, hardship, health and longevity, but they die young and short-lived. This is unsatisfactory, unsatisfactory and extremely painful. Eight, five yin is full of bitterness. This is the fire of color, acceptance, thought, action and knowledge, which burns in our hearts. We often feel depressed, anxious and depressed, speechless and speechless. The eight kinds of sufferings mentioned above are all personal feelings and unavoidable sufferings. All sentient beings within the three realms, especially humanitarian sentient beings, are suffering from karma, not only three sufferings, but also eight. In fact, there are many endless troubles, big and small. The so-called' thousands of people suffer from thousands of hardships, each with its own differences. Everyone suffers, everyone lives and dies, everyone suffers, everyone eats, everyone is full, which shows that all kinds of sufferings are the result of people's confusion. If you want to know the source of pain, you must know the truth.
Second, focus: it is the cause of three worlds. When you get together, you will get together. Everything will confuse the 88 ambassadors and confuse the troubles of the 81 products, and you will get together into a business and repay them with your business. Therefore, it is the bitter fruit of countless hardships. Seeing confusion is the cause of knowing. Seeing confusion is based on five advantages: seeing by oneself, seeing from the side, Jaken, seeing by seeing, and seeing by forbidding.
What is Ambassador Wuyi? First, the sense of body: because all beings have bodies, they have what I see, and then there will be four kinds of troubles: I am crazy, I see, I am slow, and I love. This is the so-called body perception. Second, meet each other: because of me, there are two kinds of side views, that is, broken vision or common vision. According to the broken view, after we die, our souls will return to the earth, leaving nothing and being destroyed forever. It is generally believed that after death, people are still human in this life, people in the next life, and people all their lives, and will never change. Whether it's broken or vulgar, it will make us all do all kinds of bad things, so it's called a brief encounter. Third, Jaken: refers to the three treasures of anti-causality, disbelief in Buddhism and Buddhism. Fourth, see: refers to the non-fruit number. All kinds of useless asceticism committed by heretics, taking what I saw and what I saw from the side, Jaken didn't bear the holy fruit, but gave false testimony. 5. No access: refers to non-causal factors. All kinds of asceticism practiced by heretics, such as holding cattle pens, dog pens, eating grass, scattering ashes, etc. Mistakes and persistent efforts to repair this bitter cause can achieve the most wonderful result of nirvana. The role of the Five Beneficiaries is to powerfully cause confusion and quickly receive reports.
Eighty-eight confusing messengers were distributed according to the three realms and four truths, namely, the desire realm, the color realm and the achromatic realm. Every realm has its own four truths of suffering, gathering, extinction and Tao, and each truth has its own little messenger. Desire boundary: ten ambassadors of bitter truth, seven ambassadors of gathering truth, seven ambassadors of destroying truth, eight ambassadors of Tao truth and thirty-two ambassadors of one * * *. Color world: nine ambassadors of bitter truth, six ambassadors of gathering truth, six ambassadors of destroying truth, seven ambassadors of Tao truth, and one ambassador of * * * 28. Colorless world: suffering makes nine, gathering makes six, destroying makes six, Tao makes seven, and one makes twenty-eight. Therefore, the combination of three realms and four truths is always confusing and annoying. The ancients had a poem about the eighty-eight ambassadors:' Suffering has all things, gathering and destroying all three points, dividing the Tao into two reasons, and the second one can't be angry'. Confusion is the cause of thought, and the basis of thought is greed, anger, stupidity, dullness and doubt. Five fallacies: First, greed refers to the delusion that all beings are insatiable for color, sound, fragrance, taste, touching five dusts, or the five desirable environments of wealth, color, fame, food and sleep. Second, I have anger in my heart and feel disgusted and resentful against my own desires. Third, infatuation means infatuation with ignorance, ignorance, ignorance, ignorance, ignorance, ignorance, ignorance, ignorance, ignorance and ignorance, and doing all kinds of evil deeds. Fourth, my heart is slow, which means that I am neither humble nor supercilious. I am slow, conceited, self-righteous and look down on others. Fifth, suspicion, for all people, everything is distrustful, and suspicion is innate. Have doubts about everything, have troubles, have disputes over right and wrong, and do all kinds of bad things. 5. Impetuous function is weak in causing confusion and slow in receiving reports.
Four-dimensional * *, eighty-one products, distributed in three realms and nine places, and nine products mixed with five interests. Four Zen days in the color world: First, leave the happy place of life. Second, live happily. Third, leave the happy place. Fourth, give up the pure land, every place has its own nine products, and 49 products are combined into 36 products. There are four empty days in the colorless world: first, the sky is boundless. Second, knowledge is boundless. Third, there is no place. Fourth, I have to think about it. Every day has its own 9 products, and 49 products are combined into 36 products. In this way, three worlds and nine places have always been confused and troubled by the product 998 1 According to confusion, what goes around comes around, which is what Buddhism says, that is, the law of cause and effect, the cycle of cause and effect. This is called collecting truth.
Third, destroy the truth: it is the fruit of birth. Death is silence, which is the silent nirvana witnessed by Lohan. They practice thirty-seven things in the ground, eliminating the confusion of thinking and the pain of life and death in stages, so they can prove that there is no more dependence and nirvana dependence, which is called destroying the truth.
Eliminating truths refers to eliminating troubles and fatigue of life and death, that is, nirvana and nirvana. If we get rid of the troubles such as greed and anger and the karma of good and evil, we can no longer suffer from life and death in the three realms, but there is still a body, and the name is more than nirvana; The gray body is ignorant, even the former body is abandoned, and then the nameless nirvana follows.
Fourth, the truth of Tao: it is the cause of life, and Tao is the product of Tao, that is, the product of 37 auxiliary roads. Four thoughts, four senses, four wishes, five powers, seven bodhi points and eight positive points. These 37 points of Taoist assistance are the practice of Mahayana and Hinayana. Not only can Mahayana Arhat practice according to this, but Mahayana Bodhisattva should also practice according to this. However, there are different amendments to laws, different theories and different viewpoints. Taking the four truths as an example, there are four truths of birth and death, four truths of no life, four truths of no work and four truths of infinity, which are gradually improved and deepened. "On Wisdom" says:' Thirty-seven products, taking everything, are infinite Taoist products, and they are also among them.' The Nirvana Sutra says: "If you can keep the Eight Righteousnesses, then the Tathagata is very important." .
Twelve karma:
One, ignorance, two, line, three, knowledge, four, name and color, five, six into, six, touch, seven, bitter, eight, love, nine, take, ten, have, eleven, live, twelve, die of old age.
1. Ignorance: refers to people's ignorance, ignorance, confusion, and confusion. They think that the initial thought of the mind is ignorance, and ignorance is the confusion of troubles, which is the root of life and death. At the same time, it is also the root of nirvana liberation and bodhi silence. The Shurangama Sutra thoroughly expounds the two basic truths, truth and fallacy.
Second, the line: the line is a business line, because there is no doubt about whether it is clear or not, so in all laws, without me, I can't get it. Because we have two laws, we will be confused, and there will be a business, and there will be a business. Ignorance is the cause of chaos in the past.
Third, knowledge: in an instant, in front of parents, seeing the present situation, you will have a kind of love, which is the seed of life, accepted in the blood of parents, and is a fetus.
Fourth, the name color: refers to the mental method and the color method of the father's essence and mother's blood, which together are our body and mind.
Five, six into: six into people's eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind, because six into six dust, but also for color, sound, smell, taste, touch, law, six dust, six dust, interrelated. For example, if the eye root can see color, it will enter the color dust, and other roots will also enter the color dust, so it is called six roots.
Six, touch: three in one touch, because with six, you can feel and touch the realm of six dust. Touch is a very important branch of the twelve causes. Being able to touch is fundamental, and being touched is environment. The quality of the environment will be related to the feelings of our roots, so the ancients said,' It is black near Zhu Zhechi, and it is black near Mexico'. For example, why did Meng Mu choose her neighbor? This fully shows that the objective environment plays a great role in our subjective consciousness. We are often able to get close to moral people or great knowledge, and are always influenced by wise words. It must be day by day and step by step. If karma is ripe, you can often clean the Dojo in Mingshan Temple, live in peace of mind, and be influenced by Buddhism from time to time, that is, you can say,' Famous mountains have lived in Taoism for a long time.' Clean Buddha land, karma wins. As for the environment touched, the legacy says:' Don't let them escape from the five desires when building the Five Seasons. For example, cattle herders watch with sticks, and prisoners plant crops if they are not allowed to run away. If there are five desires, there is no limit and no control. Just like a bad horse, if it is not controlled, it will cause people to fall into the pit. "It is a great event to be able to seize this critical point.
7. Acceptance: When roots come into contact with dust, they will definitely accept the dust environment they come into contact with, such as our ears. For the sound dust, they will accept all kinds of sounds, such as playing flute and drum music at the same time, and we will also accept them at the same time, with distinct levels. The above knowledge, name, color, six entry, touch and acceptance are the five bitter fruits of this world.
Eight, love: love is greedy, since six roots receive six dusts, they think about the different situations they receive. They are happy when they are satisfied, greedy when they are not satisfied, and annoyed and disgusted when they are not satisfied. This love-hate heart is the source of life and death of the six divisions in the wheel of karma, and it is a conscious existence. Learning Buddhism is to cultivate this delusion. The Diamond Sutra says: Why should clouds be born, and why should clouds subdue their hearts? That is to say, with the wisdom of King Kong Prajna, we can shine and subdue our delusions. If we want it to be indifferent to the environment and can't remember the difference, like a dead tree and ashes, like a cold spring and stagnant water, it will be silent in all troubles. This is' cut off the curse with one knife and kick the karma with two feet'. I remember Goodall said,' Even if a lion roars, it's like Woodenhead watching flowers and birds, but he doesn't care about everything, so why not always surround everything'. The tightest word here is unintentional, that is, six hearts are not greedy for Liu Chen, and they can subdue their hearts by chanting Buddha or taking care of their words. After a long time, kung fu naturally matures. The ancients praised Bodhisattva's endless intentions, saying,' The world is disturbed by endless dust, and all beings have endless karma and endless desires, so my name is endless.' It shows that love plays a great role. Love has seven emotions: joy, anger, sorrow, joy, love, evil and desire. First, I am happy. When I realize what I love, I am happy. Second, anger, take away what I love, and my heart will be angry. Third, sadness, loss of my love, sadness in my heart. Fourth, music, if I get what I love, I will be happy in my heart. Five, love, all the environment, is beneficial to me, and I have insatiable delusions about love. 6. Evil, contrary to what I love, is born of disgust. Seven, desire, obey what I love, greed is born in my heart. In this view, love is indeed the root of life and death, and the first of troubles. The ancients said,' Break the red silk thread at the foot and jump out of the red-violet fire pit'. What is the red silk thread under your feet? That's the word love.
Nine, take: since I love the realm of five desires that I long for, I will try my best to grab it and be happy for me. The more the better, the insatiable greed. There is no doubt that I will do all kinds of bad things. If you feel that you have violated your desired environment, you will be resentful and unscrupulous, and you will commit many criminal acts at will. Therefore, taking is the culprit. We must always grasp this breakthrough point and be able to break it. Being able to avoid the pain of life and death, this combination with the love above and the initial ignorance, these three confusing reasons are called troubles.
Ten, there is: there is cause and effect. Take it away for the territory you love, and give it up for the territory you don't love. So, you have achieved all kinds of careers. It's really a career like the sea, with endless suffering. The law of causality is absolutely good. Love, taking and having three branches are the three bitter causes created in this world in the future.
Eleven, life, according to love, take, there are three bitter causes, according to the sense of fruit, but also born to be reborn.
Twelve, die of old age, where there is life, it will definitely grow from small to large, from long to strong, from strong to old, step by step, and finally go to the road of death. This is an irresistible objective law. Everyone in the world is born and dies, just as Sakyamuni Buddha saw in You Simen before he became a monk. It's really painful And this kind of pain, each of us can't solve, this is because there are three bitter causes of love now, which is the bitter fruit of illness and death in the future. There is an ancient proverb: two causes in the past, five fruits now, three causes now and two fruits in the future. It roughly explains the double cause and effect of twelve causes and three generations. The Buddha told Jue Yuan that this method of twelve causes is to reveal the law of causal cycle in the past, present and future generations. Generally speaking, it is ignorance of fate, understanding of fate, understanding of fate and color, six in name and color, six in the touch of fate, touching fate, being loved by fate, taking love from fate, taking life, being born and dying of old age. The ancients had four words:' Ignorance takes three worries, and there are two ways to do things, from knowing to receiving and dying of old age, so seven things are bitter.' 12 because of confusion and suffering, it is truth.
The twelve causes are also interlocking and interrelated. Many men flow, but many men are killed. What I have said above are twelve reasons for the circulation door. Bhikkhu Buddha is called Li Gen among the saints of Hinayana Buddhism. They heard the Buddha say that the twelve causes flow through the door and are mutually causal. They realize that ignorance is the total root of the bitter fruit in the twelve causes. When ignorance dies, all the other eleven industries will die together. So the Buddha made up his mind to cut off ignorance. Just like cutting down a tree, cut off the roots first. As long as the roots are broken, the whole tree will naturally fall down. Ignorance can restore the truth and eliminate troubles, so it is called extermination. This is the truth of the twelve causes of the practice of the saints.
Six degrees:
The first is giving (Dāna). There are three kinds: (1) those who give material benefits to the public are called' financial giving', including property outside the body and their own leaders, brothers and lives; (2) Protecting public safety and making it fearless is called "fearless practice"; (3) Anyone who tells the truth to the public is called' legal reality'.
The second is to observe the precepts (? And la), there are three kinds of precepts, namely, preventing evil, cultivating good and forgiving others. The most fundamental precept of Bodhisattva is forgiveness and benevolence, that is, all other precepts must be obeyed for the benefit of the public. Refers to the method of observation, observing the precepts.
The third is humiliation (k? On the contrary, it is for the benefit that I have feelings, endure the blow of destruction and abuse, and suffer from hunger and cold. The so-called' difficult things can be done and difficult things can be endured' will never give up my wish to save all beings.
The fourth is diligence (V and V: Rya), that is, unremitting efforts and continuous progress.
The fifth is Dhyāna, that is, the mind has a main load, a certain concentration, and will not be shaken by the outside world.
The sixth is Prajna (Praj? ā) wisdom, meditation and the wisdom of conscious awareness of him.
