Brief introduction of Zhang fangzuo's life
Zhang Fangzuo, a native of Yinxian County, Zhejiang Province, was born in a tailor's family on March 29th, 190 1. 19 13 went to Japan with his father. After the outbreak of World War I, the whole family moved back to their hometown. 19 16 I went to yokohama, Japan, and studied in overseas Chinese Zhicheng middle school. 19 19 was admitted to Tokyo Institute of Technology (now tokyo institute of technology) to study textile at public expense, and graduated from 1924.

Zhang Fangzuo had a strong patriotic feeling when he was a teenager. During their stay in China, Japanese students are often ridiculed as "the sick man of East Asia". Zhang Fangzuo felt that his national dignity had been hurt. In order to motivate himself to have a strong body, he often went swimming in the sea and once climbed Mount Fuji day and night to compete with Japanese students. 1 September, 9231day, the Great Kanto Earthquake in Japan, the fire almost destroyed the whole city, and the Japanese vented their anger on foreign nationals. Zhang Fangzuo was also killed at that time. The discrimination and humiliation he suffered abroad made him feel that the main reason was that the motherland was not rich and the country was not strong. Therefore, during his internship in the factory after graduation, he often wanted to serve the country with his own skills. At that time, China's national textile industry had developed to a certain extent, so in April 1925, Zhang Fangzuo, who was detained by the Japanese side, politely refused and resolutely returned to China.

After Zhang Fangzuo returned to China, he temporarily stayed in Zixihe Cotton Mill in Japan (now Shanghai Guomian No.7 Factory) as the training director of the mill. Shortly after the "May 30" tragedy in Shanghai, he left his post and returned to his hometown out of patriotic indignation. After that, Zhang Fangzuo moved to Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai, and worked as an engineer, workshop director and factory director in Wuxi Zhenxin Yarn Factory, Xiaoshan Tonghuigong Yarn Factory, Nantong Sheng Da Yarn Factory Deputy Factory, Shanghai Shen Xin No.2 Factory and Shanghai Xinyu No.2 Factory until War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression Shengli 1945. During my tenure as the director of Shanghai Xinyu No.2 Factory, I presided over Xinyu technical training class for two and a half years, personally prepared lessons and taught, and compiled the teaching materials into the book Design and Management of Cotton Textile Workshop, which was published in June 1945+ 10.

1946- 1950, Zhang Fangzuo works in China textile company, and is hired as the deputy director and chief engineer of the public works department of China textile company, responsible for the overall technical management of the company system. During this period, Zhang Fangzhuo led his subordinate departments to organize enterprises to resume production as soon as possible, rectified the management of receiving enterprises that were originally eight Japanese-funded systems, unified the deployment of raw cotton, established various technical management regulations and factory management systems, unified product quality standards, and presided over the compilation of works such as Summary of Works and Textile Dyeing Series, which laid the foundation for establishing the technical management system of modern textile industry in China.

1949 On the eve of liberation, Zhang Fangzuo cooperated with domestic underground party organizations and played an important role in stabilizing textile technicians and doing a good job in protecting factories.

After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC),

The people's government took over the China Textile Company, and on this basis, East China Textile Administration 1950 was established in July. Zhang Fang, deputy director of Zuo Wei Huadong Textile Administration, was appointed to continue to be responsible for the production technology and management of the whole system until 1956. 1950 succeeded Chen as the director of the textile department of Shanghai Jiaotong University. 195 1 year, East China Textile Institute of Technology, the first professional textile institution in China, was established in Shanghai, with Zhang Fangzuo as its first president.

65438-0956, Zhang Fangzuo was transferred to Beijing as the president of Textile Research Institute. At the beginning of the establishment of the Institute, the Ministry of Textile Industry mobilized a group of well-known experts and technical backbones in the textile industry from old bases such as Shanghai to preside over the work of the research rooms of the Institute. According to the guiding principle of "building, laying a foundation and engaging in scientific research" put forward by the Party Committee of the Institute, under the leadership of Zhang Fangzuo, after three years, the scientific research work has been on the right track.

At the end of the first five-year plan, the development of chemical fiber industry has been put on the agenda. By then, Dandong Chemical Fiber Factory and Shanghai Anle Rayon Factory have resumed production one after another, and new fiber factories such as Baoding and Xinxiang will soon be launched. However, chemical fiber specialty has never been offered in domestic universities. Zhang Fangzuo actively participated in the decision-making of the leaders of the Ministry of Textile Industry on the establishment of the Chemical Fiber Institute. 1960, the first Beijing Chemical Fiber Research Institute in China was established in Beijing, with Zhang Fangzuo as its first director.

During the Cultural Revolution, the Institute of Textile Science was forced to dissolve, and Zhang Fangzuo, who was old and thin, was also treated unfairly and went to work in workshops and libraries. 197 1 year, his wife died unfortunately. Soon after, he was diagnosed with cancer and had an operation. From 65438 to 0972, under the care of Beijing Textile Industry Bureau, he was hired as the chief engineer of Beijing Textile Bureau. He devoted himself to the research and production of the first generation of new rotor spinning technology in China with full enthusiasm, and built the first rotor spinning workshop in China in Beijing No.3 Cotton Textile Factory.

1978, the Ministry of Textile Industry decided to restore the Textile Research Institute and restore the post of President Zhang Fangzuo. Despite his advanced age, he fully assisted the Party Committee of the Institute to reunite the technical backbones scattered in various places and began the reconstruction of the Institute.

Zhang Fangzuo 1925 returned from studying in Japan and has been engaged in science, technology, education and technical management in the textile industry. It experienced the period of cultivating technical strength and exploring management experience when the national textile industry rose before the Anti-Japanese War, the period of Nanjing National Government taking over Japanese and puppet textile assets and establishing a unified production management system after the victory, and the period of great development of textile education and science and technology after the founding of New China. In these three different stages of development, as a patriotic science and technology expert, he devoted himself to his own career and made outstanding achievements. His contribution has won great national honor and social respect, and he has been elected as the first, second and third NPC deputies in China, member of the fifth CPPCC, vice chairman of China Textile Engineering Society, honorary president of Beijing Textile Engineering Society, and member of the National Creation and Invention Selection Committee. 1954 was awarded by the state as one of the first five first-class engineers in China textile industry.
