1953, with the cooperation of Soviet experts, the design scheme and site of Beijing Electric Appliance Research Institute were determined, and the preparatory work of the Institute was taken charge, and the research rooms for micromotor, electrical alloy, insulation materials and power station automation were established.
In 1955, Chu Yinghuang actively recommended to the leaders of the Ministry of Electric Power and the Ministry of Machinery, and put forward specific suggestions such as adopting single-phase power supply system with frequency of 50 Hz and selecting electric locomotives, as a reference for the Ministry of Railways to compile the long-term plan of scientific and technological development 1956. It has promoted the electrification of Qinling section in baoji-chengdu railway and the establishment of electric locomotive production base in China.
1956 Chu Yinghuang participated in the formulation of the National Twelve-year Science and Technology Development Vision Plan and presided over the compilation of the electrical industry. 1957 participated in the scientific and technological investigation delegation of China Academy of Sciences to the Soviet Union to investigate and understand the development level and long-term scale planning of electrical technology in the Soviet Union, and submitted a detailed report for reference in revising the National Twelve-year Long-term Plan for Scientific and Technological Development.
In 1960s, he was responsible for organizing the second generation unified design of general electric products, and began to implement international electrical standards in China, guiding the development of 100000 kW hydro-generator set, which laid a technical foundation for the production of large hydro-generator sets in China. He organized the development and identification of DC main motors and their automatic control equipment, which were used in the production of "nine major equipments" in the mechanical industry. In 1980s, he was mainly responsible for technical consultation and promotion of international electrical standards, and presided over the formulation of China voltage, current and frequency grade standards. Participated in the research and discussion of upgrading small asynchronous motors and low-voltage electrical appliances.
1982 presided over the design and appraisal of the new series of motor products (Y series). He actively promoted the research on the latest cooling methods of large generators, and made contributions to China's electrical industry approaching and catching up with the international advanced level.
Chu Yinghuang also actively encourages and supports the growth of middle-aged scientific and technological personnel. Among them, Tang Renyuan, an associate professor at Shenyang Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at that time, and Zhang Kaixun, an engineer at the Institute of Automation of the Ministry of Machinery Industry, were the most prominent. They have made outstanding achievements at the international level in the development of rare earth permanent magnet motors and the research of temperature measuring elements. Chu Yinghuang was ill in his later years, but he still persisted in his work. He used people he knew to bridge the gap between factories and scientific research units, promoted the application of scientific research achievements in production, and contributed to the international market of China's electrical products. For example, at the beginning of 1980, when he learned that Wuxi Generator Factory, which only had more than 300 employees, wanted to make its products enter the international market, he volunteered to be the voluntary consultant of the factory, which contributed to the alliance between the factory and Shanghai Electric Appliance Research Institute and developed an advanced brushless generator. He also suggested that the brushless generator should be driven by diesel engine, which passed the test of continuous full-load operation for more than 2000 hours. It also gave great support and help to Xiamen Electric Machinery Factory. He also expressed great concern about the production of 200,000 kW turbo-generators by Beijing Heavy-duty Motor Factory, and gave spiritual encouragement to the factory. The 200,000 kW turbogenerator produced by Deyang Dongfang Electric Machinery Factory can basically be started successfully at one time, and it is praised that we must adhere to quality and do a good job in customer service. When he heard Rao Fangquan, the chief engineer of the factory, tell him that the factory would manufacture the first Dongfang 300,000 kW turbogenerator at 1985, he told Rao that if my body can still support it, I will definitely try to go to Dongfang Electric Machine Factory to see the Dongfang turbogenerator. Emperor Chu's patriotic thought dominated his life. When he was young, he advocated saving the country by domestic products and industry. During his work in Westinghouse Electric Company, Westinghouse Company hired him with a high salary, but he refused politely and resolutely returned to China to serve the motherland. He doesn't care about fame and fortune. After graduating from college, he gave up the generous treatment of Shanghai Electric Power Company and became a university teaching assistant with a low salary.
Emperor Chu is strict with himself in his work, because he is a non-party cadre and occupies an important position, but he always relies on the party organization. He has been loyal to the party all his life. He believes that China's * * * production party has always followed the party, and even when he was dying, he did not forget the party's education and care. In the early 1960s, he put forward the requirement of joining the Party, and solemnly put forward the requirement again during his serious illness hospitalization. He believes that in the old society, only the China * * * production party can save China, while in the new society, only the China * * * production party can build a prosperous new socialist China.
