Eight Dragons is one of Jin Yong's martial arts novels. So, if you buy a good version of Dragon Eight Branches, of course, you have to buy a genuine copy authorized by Jin Yong, and buying pirated books is of no value at all. Jin Yong's novels are not authorized to be published in a single book in China, but are all authorized to be published with Jin Yong's works as a whole. Jin Yong's works have gone through three editions: the old edition, the new edition and the second edition. The manuscripts from 1955 to 1972 are called old editions, which are mainly published in newspapers and periodicals, and there are also many singles without copyright, which may have been scattered now. Starting from 1970, Jin Yong began to revise all his works. By 1980, all the works have been revised. It's a new edition, called Jin Yong's Works, with 36 volumes. 1999, Jin Yong resumed the revision work and renamed it new revision (or century new revision). So far, all the new revisions have been completed and published. The Collected Works of Jin Yong has been published by many publishing houses, such as the simplified Chinese version of the Collected Works of Jin Yong published by Beijing Sanlian Bookstore. Mingheshe Xingma Branch published the simplified Chinese version of Jin Yong's works in Southeast Asia; Traditional Chinese version of Jin Yong's works published by Taiwan Province Yuan Jing Publishing House; Mainland Baihua Publishing House Edition; Guangzhou Flower City Edition, and so on. The mainland edition is the most famous of the Beijing Triple Edition. At present, the only officially authorized edition in Chinese mainland is the simplified edition of Jin Yong's works jointly published by Guangzhou Publishing House and Huacheng Publishing House. Other editions, such as Beijing Sanlian Edition, Culture and Art Society Review Edition and Mainland Baihua Edition, have expired and are no longer printed, so these editions are out of print. Therefore, it is of course best to buy the old edition of Beijing Sanlian now, but if you can't buy it, you have to buy the new revised edition of Guangzhou Publishing House and Huacheng Publishing House.
