The National Engineering and Technology Library, headed by China Institute of Science and Technology Information, jointly established by China Institute of Machinery Industry Information, Institute of Metallurgical Industry Information Standards and China Chemical Industry Information Center, was announced in Beijing on July 28th.
According to reports, the National Engineering and Technology Library is an important part of the National Science and Technology Library and one of the four national professional libraries in the National Science and Technology Library.
Its purpose is to collect scientific and complete scientific and technological literature information resources in the field of engineering technology according to the needs of national development, and use advanced technical means to accelerate the processing and utilization of literature information and serve the whole country. The participating units keep the existing administrative affiliation unchanged.
