In the long-term practice of running the library, the purpose of "readers first, service first, people-oriented and management innovation" has been gradually refined. Serving readers is the starting point and the end result of all library work, and has made remarkable achievements in the satisfaction evaluation of service departments organized by previous schools.

Achieved the opening goal of 14 hours a day and 98 hours a week. The reader service adopts the service mode of "integration of borrowing and consulting". The all-weather service of electronic resources makes the library a veritable "library without walls" and is not limited by regions. With a total construction area of 27,800 square meters, it consists of the library of the headquarters and the branch library of the North Campus.

The library consists of 15 professional reading room for paper documents, 1 electronic reading room, 1 dense stacks, 3 donation reading rooms, 3 teacher training rooms, 9 study rooms, 1 conference room and 3,206 reading seats. Development of the Library of Hebei Geo University

The library of Hebei Geo University was founded in 1954 and moved from Xuanhua, Hebei Province to Shijiazhuang, the provincial capital, in 1987. The development of libraries has always depended on schools, and experienced the establishment of secondary schools (1954 ~ 1965, Xuanhua Geological School) and the stagnation of the Cultural Revolution. (1966 ~ 1970), university recovery (197 1 ~ 1982, 197 1) and the rapid development after the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the CPC.

After nearly 60 years of development, a new multi-functional library has been built, which integrates book borrowing, reading, network query, digital audio-visual and online retrieval.
