The total building area of the library is about 29,300 square meters (including 2,300 square meters of Guangzhou Campus Library and 27,000 square meters of Nanhai Campus Library Branch). Guangzhou campus is divided into five floors. The first floor is the student study room, equipped with six retrieval terminals, which are used for library bibliographic data query. There are book lending offices and stacks on the second and third floors, which are fully open to readers of the whole school. Readers can enter the stacks to find the books they need with their reading cards. The stacks on the second floor are mainly books classified according to China Library Classification. The stacks on the third floor are mainly books classified by Library of China Academy of Sciences (referred to as Chinese Library Classification) and books on arts and crafts and computers classified by Chinese Library Classification. The fourth floor is the information reference room and the art reference room. The information reference room mainly collects all kinds of professional periodicals and bound volumes, large reference books and professional reference books, including dictionaries, guides, standards, product catalogues, manuals, compilations, encyclopedias, yearbooks, etc. , are all open-shelf reading. The art reference room collects all kinds of art professional materials and provides services such as copying, scanning, burning and printing. The fifth floor is the editorial department, technical department, foreign language reference room, old stacks, periodical reading room and electronic reading room. The foreign language reference room is only open to faculty and staff, and the old stacks are not open to the public. There are nearly 1 100 kinds of newspapers and magazines in the periodical reading room, which are read in full open shelves. The electronic reading room provides 707 computers for readers to use, which can be used for network resource retrieval and data query in the library. Various reading rooms are open for up to 96 hours a week.
