What is the job of a supermarket tallyman?
Supermarket tallyman is an employee who is responsible for the display, sorting and replenishment of goods on supermarket shelves. According to my previous working experience in RT Mart supermarket, I personally think that supermarket tallyman is a rather tiring job.

First of all, the work of the supermarket tallyman is mainly in the following aspects:

1. Be responsible for the display of goods in your own area.

The tallyman needs to display the goods on the shelves according to the display standard of the supermarket, keep the shelves clean and orderly, and let customers find the goods they need conveniently and quickly. Commodity display is divided into shelf display and push display. If it is some rice, flour and oil products, it will involve physical labor, and it is still relatively tired.

Second, responsible for regional goods shelves.

Tally clerks need to put the newly arrived goods on the shelves according to the prescribed procedures, including acceptance, classification, price marking, shelving and other links. In fact, putting goods on the shelves is not only putting the goods in your own area on the display shelves, but also including a series of processes such as receiving goods, sorting, label updating and putting goods on the shelves. After such a process, it feels very complicated. So when we were working in the supermarket, we often felt that we were walking with the wind, because there were so many things to do.

Three, responsible for daily inventory, monthly inventory and quarterly inventory.

Tally clerks need to check the goods on the shelves regularly to ensure the accuracy of the quantity and price of goods, and find and deal with the problems of loss and expiration of goods in time. Regularly arrange the shelves, clean up expired goods and damaged goods, and keep the shelves clean and orderly. Especially for food, tallymen should pay attention to the principle of first in first out and pay attention to products in time.

Fourth, responsible for the replenishment of goods in the exhibition area.

The tallyman needs to replenish the goods on the shelves in time according to the sales situation to ensure that the goods on the shelves are sufficient and avoid shortage. Especially when supermarkets are promoting sales, tallymen need to pay attention to the shortage of shelves at any time and replenish them in time. Manage the supermarket inventory, report the inventory situation in time, and assist the manager in inventory deployment and purchasing plan.

Fifth, do a good job in customer service in time to meet customer needs.

Tally clerks need to warmly receive customers, answer their questions, provide commodity recommendations and shopping suggestions, and provide customers with a good shopping experience.

The work of supermarket tallyman is hard, and it takes a long time to stand, walk and carry goods, and it requires a certain degree of physical strength and endurance. In addition, tally clerks need to work in a busy supermarket environment, face different needs and problems of customers, and have certain adaptability and service consciousness.

Although this job is relatively hard, it also has some advantages, such as relatively flexible working hours, full-time or part-time, relatively simple work content, no need for too high academic qualifications and skills, and certain promotion space and welfare benefits.

Generally speaking, the job of supermarket tallyman requires certain physical and psychological qualities, but it is also a relatively stable career choice.
