The requirements for coating are not as high as possible, mainly depending on your use conditions, such as zinc plating. For indoor use, the coating is generally required to be 7 microns, and the surface is free from corrosion after neutral salt spray test for 24 hours. If used outdoors, the coating thickness is 12- 15 micron. Some require the test period to exceed 72 hours, which is already a high requirement for zinc plating, and the thickness of the coating should exceed 20 microns.
If the organic coating is applied after electroplating, the corrosion resistance will be greatly improved.
Specific test methods and requirements can refer to relevant national standards, and these standard documents are publicly sold.
