Where did Li Bai exile the so-called Yelang?
As a citizen of China who went abroad in Japan, I also heard of Yelang in Japan. Although I am in Japan, I have been paying attention to everything in China. I would like to make the following statement on this issue:

The Vanishing Kingdom-Yelang Kingdom

2 1 within two years of the century, Xinhuang County in Hunan Province and some counties and cities in Guizhou Province requested to change their names to Yelang. In some places in southern Sichuan and eastern Yunnan, there are also various sayings that this place is the hometown of Yelang. In this fierce name change war, all directions are mysterious ancient Yelang countries.

The word Yelang is no stranger to people. "Yelang is arrogant" is an idiom with high cognitive rate. According to Records of the Historian Biography of Southwest Yi, during the reign of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, the imperial court sent envoys to Yelang. Commander Yelang asked the envoy: Who is bigger, the Han Dynasty or Yelang? In fact, Ambassador China has arrived in Yunnan, west of Yelang, and the monarch of Yunnan asked Ambassador China the same question. This was originally a nation living in the mountains, eager to know the normal problems of the world outside the mountains. Later, when he was detained, he became the spokesman of "arrogance", which is actually a misunderstood history.

During the Warring States Period more than 2,000 years ago, Yelang Kingdom in the southwest had 65,438+million elite soldiers and fertile fields. At that time, the ethnic minorities in Yunnan, Guizhou and western Sichuan were called "Southwest Yi". Western Sichuan is a "western barbarian" and Yunnan is a "eastern barbarian". However, since the Eastern Han Dynasty, people have been unclear about the exact territory of Yelang Kingdom. When scholars in the Eastern Han Dynasty annotated the geography of Hanshu, they divided the northern territory of Yelang into Chengdu, Sichuan. However, the Book of the Later Han Dynasty said that Yelang Kingdom reached Guangdong and Guangxi in the east and Xichang and Panzhihua in Sichuan in the north. After the Ming Dynasty, there were more than ten different geographical divisions of Yelang Kingdom. In recent years, with the deepening of archaeological excavations, a new view is gradually gaining more recognition, that is, the central area of Yelang State lies between western Guizhou, Beipanjiang and Nanpanjiang.

This Yelang country, which once dominated the southwest for hundreds of years, became a small country under the county after Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty pacified the "southwest barbarians". At the end of the Western Han Dynasty, Yelang was at war with a small country in the south. Because he did not obey the officials sent by the Han Dynasty to mediate, the Yelang king was killed and all the kings died. The ancient Yelang kingdom has since withdrawn from the historical stage.

Although Yelang Kingdom has long since disappeared, Li Bai, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, mentioned Yelang many times in his poems. These poems are related to Li Bai's exile of Yelang. So why did the Tang Dynasty have Yelang?

It turned out that Yelang County was established in the upper reaches of Beipanjiang River in Guizhou Province more than 300 years after Yelang destroyed the country in the Western Jin Dynasty, which lasted more than 200 years and was abolished in the Southern and Northern Dynasties. About 300 years later, Yelang County was established in Shiqian, Zheng 'an, Guizhou and Xinhuang, Hunan in the Tang Dynasty. During this period, Yelang County was restored in Tongzi, Guizhou, which lasted 1300 years. Yelang, where Li Bai was exiled, is this Yelang county. Yelang County was briefly established in Xinhuang, Hunan Province in the Northern Song Dynasty, which only existed for more than ten years and became the last Yelang place name in history.

But this Yelang is not another Yelang, but has subtle similarities.

Today, Yelang in Tongzi County, Guizhou Province is the real Yelang, which has existed for more than 1300 years. Yelang in other places only existed for a short time. Japanese journalists have been to Yelang, China, and went directly to Yelang, Tongzi County, Guizhou Province, but nowhere else.

I think the answer is clear?
