1The Tangshan earthquake on July 28th, 976 caused devastating damage to Tangshan Library. Ten years after the earthquake, on July 1986 and 19, the new Tangshan Library was officially completed and opened, with an area of 5,332 square meters. With the growing cultural needs of the general public, the Tangshan Municipal Government invested 3 million yuan to expand the Tangshan Library by 10 133 square meters, which has been used ever since.

In 2004, Tangshan Sub-center of Hebei Cultural Information Sharing Project was built with the municipal financial investment of 6.5438+0.64 million yuan, and its construction scale and equipment are in a leading position in the province. In recent years, the sub-center has made use of its own resources and technical advantages to provide excellent cultural information resources for the general public free of charge by holding cultural health lectures, film screenings and other forms.
