Architectural layout of Henan museum
The new museum is located in the middle section of Nongye Road in Zhengzhou City, covering an area of 654.38+10,000 square meters, with a construction area of 78,000 square meters, with an accumulated investment of nearly 300 million yuan, which took five years to complete. The main exhibition hall is located in the center of the campus, in the shape of a pyramid, followed by the cultural relics warehouse, with audio-visual education building, comprehensive service building, office building, training building and so on at the four corners. The overall architectural structure is rigorous, magnificent, simple and elegant, with a unique artistic style, and also reflects the characteristics of the Central Plains culture.

Henan Museum includes square, preface hall, basic exhibition hall, special exhibition hall, temporary exhibition hall, cultural relics warehouse, academic lecture hall, audio-visual education building, audience participation entertainment hall, audience dining teahouse, audience lounge, VIP reception room, Henan Museum room, souvenir shopping mall, broadcasting room, computer center, cultural relics protection center, library and training service building. About 40% of the garden green space is also designed outside the building complex, forming a beautiful pattern of "there is a garden in the museum and a museum in the garden".

The main building of the main exhibition hall is based on the ancient observation platform in Yuan Dynasty (the earliest existing observation platform site in China, located in Dengfeng, Henan), and is transformed into a "coronation pyramid" through artistic exaggeration. Its bottom is a square with a length of 63 meters and a height of 45.5 meters. There are five floors in the interior design, including one underground floor. The crown is square bucket-shaped, and the cover is raised, which means "nectar" and "rustic", which means that the Central Plains is the source of China and blends with all directions. The outer wall is yellow-brown, with the "Loess" and "Yellow River" in the Central Plains as symbols of Chinese civilization. There are light blue transparent windows up and down the main hall, and there are transparent lighting belts up and down, which has the majestic momentum of "how the water of the Yellow River moves to the sky".

Behind the main hall is the cultural relics warehouse. The design of the whole building complex takes the majestic and broad "Central Plains Spirit" as the core, with simple lines, novel and unique shapes, unique styles and magnificent momentum.
