If you choose Kunming as your foothold, you can consider the vicinity of Cuihu, with beautiful scenery. There are Yunnan University, Army Wujiang Pavilion and Yunnan Provincial Library built in 1922 nearby, and the cultural atmosphere is very strong. Many foreign students are studying in Yunnan University. On the road around the lake, such as Cuihu South Road, there are many ethnic shops, bars, tea bars, cold drinks bars and Chinese and Western restaurants. Trees are planted on both sides of the road, which makes it cool and comfortable to walk. Cuihu is located in the center of Kunming. As soon as Cuihu came out, there were Daguan Commercial City, Wal-Mart Shopping Center, Meichen Department Store, Gome and Suning Appliance. You can take one or two bus stops to Nanping Pedestrian Street in Kunming, where there are Kunbaida, An Baili Square, Parkson and Wangfujing Department Store, and two good cinemas in Kunming are also there.
Of course, if you consider living anywhere in Yunnan, then I also recommend Lijiang. Lijiang is very beautiful, with a strong cultural and ethnic flavor. Lijiang can live in Shuhe Ancient Town or Sifang Street, both of which are very good and convenient to eat and live. April and May are good seasons to visit Lijiang, with warm spring flowers and fine weather. Living in Lijiang, you can travel to go to dali and Shangri-La. Dali is not as strong as Lijiang in spring breeze, nationality and humanities. Shangri-La is beautiful, but compared with Lijiang, Shangri-La has a large temperature difference in the morning and evening, strong ultraviolet rays and poor living conditions, so I suggest you travel to go to dali and Shangri-La, but don't stay too long.
Welcome to Yunnan.
