There is a permanent exhibition hall on the theme of silk culture in the museum, which introduces the cultural and historical background and development process of sericulture silk from four units: Miracle of Silkworm and Mulberry, Source of Civilization, Silk Fashion, Splendid Glory, Zhifu Spring and Autumn Period, Du Nan Fan Hui and Silk Road Seal.
Sibo Museum provides services for all kinds of visitors all the year round, and has set up more than 200 social education activities according to the five major silk technologies of "weaving, dyeing, painting, embroidery and printing". There are also various customized intangible cultural tours in the Sibo Museum, such as the summer camp with the theme of "Silk Road Seal Originated in Nanjing" and the summer camp with the theme of "Looking for the Intangible Heritage of Jinling and Playing with the Southern Complex".
Sibo Museum has set up several research groups around the silk culture in the south of the Yangtze River, and conducted in-depth cooperation with Nanjing Museum, Municipal Archives, Municipal Museum of Natural History, Nanjing universities, industry practitioners and academic leaders, and flexibly carried out basic research, applied research and development research on related contents. Since its establishment, Jiangnan Silk Culture Museum has established the development mission of "making culture within reach", always adhered to the concept of "rigorous innovation makes great achievements" and devoted itself to promoting the cause of Chinese excellent traditional culture.
