The predecessor of Guangdong Calligraphers Association is Guangdong Calligraphy and Seal Cutting Research Association. Founded in 1963, 198 1 renamed China Calligraphers Association Guangdong Branch, 1992 renamed its current name. It is not only the first provincial calligraphy art group in the history of our province, but also one of the earlier and more successful book clubs in China. At the beginning of its establishment, together with the calligraphy groups in Beijing and Shanghai, it made an important contribution to the China book circle which was active in the 1960s.
