Liuzhi Special Zone No.1 Middle School was founded in 1960. Its predecessor was Liuzhi Middle School in Guizhou Province, and 1965 was renamed Liuzhi Special Zone No.1 Middle School.

The school is located in Wenhua Road, the central area of Liuzhi Special Zone, covering an area of 540,000 square meters.
