Zhengzhou Library, located in Zhengdong New District, Zhengzhou City, is a comprehensive, modern and large-scale cultural venue with the functions of document collection, information exchange, academic research, cultural creativity, education and training, and cultural leisure.
20 10 was announced as the third batch of "national key protection units of ancient books" by the State Council in June, and was rated as a national first-class library in May of 20 18.
Zhengzhou Library was established in April, 1953, passing through Datong Road and nanyang road Building in Zhengzhou City. Construction started in June, 2009, and the new building was completed on October12. The new building was put into trial operation in Zhengzhou on August 8, 20 13.
In April 2020, the official website of the Library showed that Zhengzhou Library covers an area of 76.383 mu, with a total construction area of 72,450 square meters, 3,000 reading seats and a total collection of 6,543,800+2,000 books, including 3,000 rare books.
20 17 Zhengzhou Library Digital Resource Platform Digital Intelligent Library Phase II Project has completed the preparation of the project feasibility study report, which has been submitted to the National Development and Reform Commission for approval.
The newly purchased database resources such as cloud digital audio library and New Oriental handheld learning platform have exceeded 30TB, which can basically meet the actual needs of different terminals and different groups of people.
At the same time, actively participated in the digital resource processing task of the 20 17 National Digital Library Promotion Project, and completed the processing task of digitizing local documents 15000 pages and collecting 8000 pieces of government information.
In 20 17, library staff * * * wrote 63 academic papers, of which 36 were published in academic journals, 9 won the prize in the essay-writing activity of the annual meeting of the Library Society of China, 13 won the eighth academic achievement award of library and information science in Henan Province, and 8 won the prize in the evaluation of the first local cultural academic achievement award in Henan Province.
In 20 16, 6 scientific research projects of provincial and municipal social science associations were completed, and the scientific research projects of Henan Social Science Association and Henan Economic and Trade Federation 1 won the first prize and Zhengzhou Social Science Association 1 won the third prize. In 20 17, seven projects were successfully approved in the project declaration of provincial and municipal social science associations.
