Famous schools are dreams? It's useless to go to graduate school? The girl admitted to Beijing Normal University will answer you first.
I graduated with a master's degree and left the elegant campus of Beijing Normal University for nearly three years.

20 17 the national postgraduate entrance examination has just come to an end. Recently, I have received many phone calls from my brothers and sisters. Their questions usually revolve around two aspects:

In view of the fact that college students account for a considerable proportion of platform users, postgraduate entrance examination is a concern of many people, so I want to talk about my own views here.

I don't want to answer the first question directly. I will share my own postgraduate entrance examination story with you later.

Is learning useful? Do you need to go to graduate school? Is knowledge important?

This question reminds me of a question in Zhihu.

-The problem is-

Is it more appropriate to study abroad with tuition or to travel around the world?

Why?

-Answer-

Without sufficient knowledge as a prerequisite,

Even if Wan Li Road is completed,

Just a postman.

Whether graduate school is important or not varies from person to person, and there is no unified answer. But there is no doubt that knowledge can be realized by weighing and measuring in today's society.

Knowledge is too important, and it is becoming more and more important!

If you want to do academic research, then graduate school is the only way, but even if you don't plan to take the academic road, it is absolutely beneficial to continue graduate school, read more books and learn more knowledge.

Of course, it does not mean that learning stops after work, but that it is very difficult to have a whole period of systematic and in-depth learning after work.

Therefore, as long as conditions permit, it is not a waste of time to calm down and immerse yourself in the campus for two or three years.

After all, life is so long, studying for two or three more years will not really delay you, but will add value to your life.

I hate books being used, which is the sigh of many friends around me.

Knowledge IP is a hot word at present. Many people who stand at the forefront of the times are successful because of their solid knowledge reserves. After the arrival of the internet plus era, they seized the opportunity in time, so it is no accident that hundreds of millions and hundreds of billions of knowledge IP appeared.

This group of people are representatives of accumulated wealth and thin hair.

I recently led an online learning community. Every night, we need code words to write a recorded manuscript and then record it as audio. 20 minutes of audio, I want to output about 3000 words.

This is to thank myself for a lot of reading and accumulation in those years.

Therefore, learning more knowledge will never be out of date.

Furthermore, a little more secular, after work, you will find that many times, diplomas are indeed linked to wages.

I work in a large central enterprise group.

The salary of fresh graduates is determined by diplomas.

The monthly income of undergraduates is 2000-3000 less than that of postgraduates, and that of postgraduates is about 3500 less than that of doctors.

Later, I asked a friend who works in a foreign company, and the salary and education of their company's recent graduates are also a reference factor.

This is a realistic society, and occasionally, it seems to smell a little fireworks.

Of course, I am very opposed to studying purely for a diploma. Even if you enter the society, the reality makes you utilitarian, but in school, you don't need to be so eager for quick success, be down-to-earth, and devote yourself wholeheartedly.

This kind of impatience, arrogance and rashness will make you walk faster than others after graduation.

Therefore, whether you want to go to graduate school or not, the answer is to give it yourself.

For the first question, many students are worried about "I want to apply for a prestigious school? But the competition is too fierce, is it impossible? " "If I don't pass the first time, and I have a deep complex of famous schools, do I still need to insist?"

I don't want to, or I can't give a definite answer.

Here, I just want to share my postgraduate entrance examination story six years ago. If you can finish reading it, the answer may already be in your heart.

In September, 2009, I was a senior in School of Chinese Communication, Xi International Studies University. At that time, the Chinese University of Hong Kong was free of postgraduate places. According to the professional ranking, the top five students can go.

I am one of these five people.

Only later, because of the tuition problem, I finally failed to go to Hong Kong to study Chinese.

20 10 After graduating from college in July, I went to Guangzhou to teach English to senior high school students in Guangzhou New Oriental. Soon, I decided to take the postgraduate entrance examination of Chinese Department of Beijing Normal University in June.

After that, I started the journey of preparing for the exam while working.

The Chinese Department of Beijing Normal University is very difficult to test, and the comparative literature I applied for is the ace major of the Chinese Department of Beijing Normal University. The competition is fierce, and the key is that there are few places for external recruitment.

There were only five places that year, and the number of applicants reached 1000.

On March 20 1 1, I entered the second interview with a score of 387, but I was not admitted in the end.

I remember that after the results of 2065438+01March 24th came out, I went to the director of the Institute of Comparative Literature of Beijing Normal University in tears, hoping that he would give me an acceptable reason. However, in the end, I was not accepted and refused to choose to transfer.

I sat alone under Muduo outside the main building of Beijing Normal University, and the golden sound of Muduo, the iconic symbol of Beijing Normal University, cried all afternoon.

And my father, calling from his hometown, said with tears, "Sorry, daughter, my father is unable to help you." I know you work too hard. "

My father's tears strengthened my confidence.

At that time, there was opposition around, and friends suggested either working or changing schools. However, because I like Japanese literature very much, there is a professor who has done a very good job in Japanese literature research in Beijing Normal University. At that time, I really wanted to take the academic road. So I told myself that I would come back to Beijing Normal University on 20 12, and it was the first place.

20 12 At the end of July, I quit my job in New Oriental and returned to Xi 'an. I rented a house in a village called "Xiao Juan Village" outside the campus. Review in the school library during the day and rest in the rental house at night.

After returning to Xi 'an, I told several good friends my wish to be admitted to Beijing Normal University as the first place in 20 12, and told them that if I realized it, they would send me a box of Assam milk tea, my favorite drink.

The best thing about youth is that you can speak without fear. Even if you end up doing the opposite and losing miserably, people around you won't laugh at you.

For more than half a year, it was with this strong belief that I worked hard and worked hard. Besides going out to do odd jobs on weekends to support myself, I seriously review and read books in the library eight hours a day, five days a week.

March 20 12, I was admitted to the School of Comparative Literature of Beijing Normal University with a score of 394, ranking first in the initial examination and second examination, and became a disciple of my most admired tutor.

Here, I want to share this story with you again. What I want to explain is that the power of faith is really powerful and the law of attraction really exists.

As Zhang Defen said in "Meeting the Unknown Self", "Dear, if you really want to do something, the whole world will help you".

If, after reading this article, you also want to go to a favorite school for graduate study, as long as you are eager enough and work hard enough, you can certainly achieve it.

Now that I think about it, I was just in my early twenties six years ago, and I was still too unclear about the future, but I was deeply moved by my unwillingness to compromise with reality today.

The boat of life is not tied, floating and sinking in the sea of Wang Yang. Over the years, I have been steering carefully and breaking through the water bit by bit.

Dear readers and friends, at this moment, I am sitting in a book bar with light green curtains and petal stickers, typing the words for you. On the left hand side is a rattan sofa and a brand-new electronic organ, on the right hand side is a basket full of sunshine, with antique calligraphy and painting on the wall and countless philosophical or historical books and magazines behind it.

The shopkeeper is a middle-aged woman with great style. Her elegance and calmness are exactly what I appreciate, and her ability to realize her dreams also makes me yearn for it.

Adhere to our faith, let us never stop, stubbornly and resolutely break through obstacles and move towards a bright and free future.

One day, we will realize our dreams, just like that elegant middle-aged woman, smiling quietly in the afternoon sun.
