Tianjin Library 1908 was founded in Zhili Library, 19 18 was renamed as the First Library of Zhili Province in September, and 1928 was renamed as the First Library of Hebei Province in June.
Tianjin Special Municipal Library was founded on 1929, renamed Tianjin Special Municipal Second Library on 1937, and renamed Tianjin Library on 1945. 1949 After the liberation of Tianjin, it was gradually merged into Tianjin People's Library. 1982, Tianjin People's Library was renamed Tianjin Library.
