The library of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics has a total collection of more than 2,654.38+million books, and the library of Fudan University has a paper collection of 5.599 million books, including 4.363 million Chinese books (including about 370,000 online books, including 60,000 rare books and 654.38+million books of the Republic of China), foreign languages 1.236 million books, and 93,042 paper Chinese books were purchased in Chinese and foreign languages in 1999. Featured collections include ancient books, Republic of China documents, foreign language books, Fudan people's works and various special books. In addition, Fudan University has three branches, namely Kangquan Library of Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University, Zhangjiang Library of Zhangjiang Campus and Lee Shau Kee Library of Xinjiangwan Campus of Fudan University. Therefore, compared with the library of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, the library of Fudan University in Shanghai is more comprehensive and diverse, and its collection resources are more excellent.
Fudan University Library is the national key protection unit of ancient books, the deputy director of China University Library and Information Work Steering Committee, and one of the two national central libraries of China Academic Humanities and Social Sciences Library. There are foreign language teaching materials centers of the Ministry of Education for the whole country and East China, stacks of the foreign language book introduction center of the Ministry of Education, European Union book shelves, sci-tech novelty retrieval workstations of the Ministry of Education (comprehensive category), sci-tech novelty retrieval stations of Shanghai Science and Technology Commission (computer and biology), chairman and secretariat of the National Medical Literature Retrieval Teaching Research Association, and master of library science training center, and they have undertaken the editing and publishing work of two magazines, namely, China Index and Research on Library and Information Work in Shanghai Universities.
