Hunan University's Request for Instructions on Building a Library The author of this document is Wu Jiguang. Established on 1926. Its predecessor was the Yuelu Academy Library, which was founded in the Song Dynasty. At present, the main library and ancient books branch of Yuelu Academy cover an area of16,000 square meters, with a collection of1160,000 volumes, mainly books on civil engineering, machinery, chemical engineering, electricity, mathematics, management, literature, history and philosophy. The library has modern equipment and services such as computers, photocopiers, film recording systems, anti-theft systems for books and mechanical transportation systems for stacks.
