Sofia University

Sofia University is the earliest institution of higher learning in Bulgaria and one of the most important scientific and cultural centers in Bulgaria. It is located in a scenic spot in the east of Sofia, near Lenin Avenue, the widest and longest street in Sofia. In the north is the National Library of Metodi in kirill, in the south is the lush Free Park, in the west is the Bulgarian National Assembly building connected by a garden, which used to be the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The largest alexander nevsky Church in the Balkans is a few hundred meters northwest. Opposite Sofia University is the Embassy of China.

After many reforms and reorganizations, Sofia University has become the highest institution of new socialism in Bulgaria. It is a large-scale comprehensive teaching and research center that teaches basic social and natural sciences, trains experts and teachers in various fields, engages in scientific research, and improves the professional level of various experts. By 1987, the school has students 14649 and teachers 1200, including 5 academicians, 6 communication academicians, 34 professors 134 professors, 374 associate professors, 564 teaching assistants, 2 first-class senior researchers and 32 second-class senior researchers.
