Qian Xuesen's Personal Life: 1935, Qian Xuesen went to study in the United States, and Jiang Ying also went to Europe to study in Berlin, Germany with his father. They postponed the wedding again for their respective careers. They didn't get married in Shanghai until 1947.

1In August, 935, Qian Xuesen went to the United States for further study. He was originally majoring in aviation engineering, but he had an argument with his father on the issue of further study. Qian Xuesen intends to study space theory next, but his father wrote back that China's space industry is backward, and it will be beaten if it is backward. It is better to study aircraft manufacturing technology. Qian Xuesen told his father that China lags far behind the West in the field of aircraft manufacturing, and only by mastering space theory can it surpass the West.

Jiang Baili knows the difference between Qian and his son. He told his old friend Qian Junfu that aviation research in Europe and America tends to unify engineering and theory, and engineering follows theory. Hearing this, Qian Junfu finally promised his son to continue studying space theory.
