Introduction of Gansu Vocational College of Animal Husbandry Engineering Gansu Vocational College of Animal Husbandry Engineering is the only full-time general higher vocational college in Gansu Province that trains talents in animal husbandry, veterinary medicine and agricultural machinery. Its predecessor was 1952, the former Gansu Provincial Animal Husbandry School (National Key Technical Secondary School), and 1958, the former Gansu Provincial Agricultural Mechanization School (National Key Technical Secondary School), which was subordinate to the Education Department of Gansu Province.

The college is Gansu Animal Husbandry Engineering Cadre Training College and Gansu Wei Long Wine College. It has -0 13 national vocational skill appraisal station for specific jobs in agricultural industry, the 84th national vocational skill appraisal institute in Gansu Province, the continuing education base for professional and technical personnel at the provincial level in Gansu Province, the learning center of the National Open University (Gansu), etc., and cooperates with Northwest Normal University, Lanzhou University of Technology and Lanzhou Jiaotong University.
