Li Nianzu said that everything that information technology does is to provide readers with comprehensive services in a broader and deeper way. According to the Library Declaration issued by UNESCO, "everyone has the equal right to enjoy public library services". Library informatization is to tap all available resources and provide readers with all-round services.
At the same time, the first picture follows the national laws, regulations and relevant regulations, and gradually cancels the charging items in the past two years, so that more people can enjoy the library services conveniently and quickly. One card is one of them. Readers do not need to bring photos (take photos directly at the service desk) or apply for a certificate (deposit is required for borrowing), as long as they bring valid certificates.

It is worth mentioning that "Beijing Memory" website is a historical document service platform that mainly introduces Beijing. This website does not simply accumulate digital resources, but uses multimedia to fully display the culture of old Beijing, plus some flash animation games, so that readers can gain knowledge in the games, which is novel and attractive. Today, it has become a brand website with more than 4 million visits annually.
Li Nianzu believes that what they should do is to make full use of information resources, play an interactive mode, and let readers enjoy services faster. Now these websites continue to be revised, serving readers in the most concise and convenient mode.
Maintenance management platform
One card is really convenient for readers. With one card, readers can borrow books from any library in Beijing and return them to 64 libraries in different places. It is estimated that more than 80 libraries will return books this year.
Beijing has formed a service network with the Capital Library as the center, 22 district-level libraries as branches, and 1 18 street-level libraries, and established the computer information service network management center of Beijing public library, realizing the three-level interconnection between the Capital Library, district (county) libraries and street-level township libraries.
Before 2005, the services of the network center in the first picture were all outsourced. Later, Li Nianzu took back the right to operate. Take the first picture as an example, the daily reception capacity is 8000 people. If there is a problem, it will take at least 20 minutes to analyze the cause, find the problem and solve it. During this period, about 100 readers queued for business, which brought great work pressure to the employees of the information center. If there is a problem, it must be solved. Over the years, Li Nianzu personally led employees to solve countless problems. At critical times, he always stood in the front line with everyone, and thus won the recognition of his work from leaders and colleagues.
Helpless, this book management software named "Wisdom 2000" developed in 2000 has obviously fallen behind with the continuous improvement of readers' application needs and modern office needs. The software is developed based on local area network. When it is applied to the Internet, it has inherent shortcomings and cannot adapt to the development. Li Nianzu wanted to completely integrate this system, but the public service platform connected more than 160 libraries and could not be closed for rectification. It is imperative to upgrade this software platform.
When the city's libraries are networked, the first picture adopts the "three-level management" mode, that is, the information center trains the staff of 2 1 district and county libraries in batches, and then these libraries train the staff of their own streets and community libraries, which solves many problems in networking.
Li Nianzu said: "Because a map has no administrative affiliation with the regional library, we can only try our best to help them solve the problem." In the next step, the public service platform managed by the first map will be connected to the new rural libraries in the city, and more than 200 libraries will be connected.

How does this relatively young director of the information center drive and manage a group of active young people in the information center?
In Li Nianzu's department, there are demobilized soldiers and graduate students majoring in computer science, and their computer level is uneven. Li Nianzu arranges different jobs according to different people's specialties, gives full play to his personal advantages, fully mobilizes everyone's subjective initiative, and effectively gives full play to his talents. A prominent problem of Li Nianzu's cultural industry is that the funds for cultural undertakings are weak, and some technicians can't stand relatively low wages and quit their jobs, which is very common in grass-roots libraries. Li Nianzu said: "I have left some people before. They are all young people now, and they are also one with them. Starting from life, I really care about my colleagues, and problems at work can be solved together. "
Li Nianzu admits that he is not proficient in professional technology, but he knows the development trend. When encountering problems, he will discuss solutions with the technical elites of the department, make bold decisions at critical moments, and solve all kinds of thorny problems and problems in time. Last year, at a defense meeting for evaluating professional titles, the judging experts were very interested in Li Nianzu's professional background and directly asked, "Since you are not a computer major, how can you be the director of the information center?" Li Nianzu replied: "It is not difficult to learn computers, mainly depending on personal hobbies. As long as you like the computer industry, it is not difficult to study and master this technology. " This sentence is often used by him to encourage colleagues in the department to learn new technologies and keep up with the times.
Li Nianzu's positioning of the information center is very accurate. He often tells his colleagues in the department that it is wrong to think that the information center is the center of the first picture. The information center should be a "blood vessel" to ensure the smooth flow of "blood" and support the smooth operation of library business. Under this concept, the information center in the first picture can guarantee the information exchange of more than 200 public libraries in Beijing.
