Five major water systems in Beijing
There are five major water systems in Beijing: Chanhe River, Chaobai River, Yongding River, Juma River and North Canal.

1, producing river

Shehe River originates from Lushan and Qinghuiling, outside the General Pass in Xinglong County, Hebei Province, and flows through Jixian County, Pinggu District and the old city of sanhe city (Yicheng City). It enters Xisizhuang Village in Baodi County from the south of Qiaotou Village in sanhe city, and then flows eastward to Zhangguzhuang and Zhouhe along the junction of Jixian County and Baodi District.

2. Chaobai River

Chaobai River is one of the five major rivers of Haihe River system in China. There are two tributaries in the upper reaches: the tidal source originates in Fengning County, Hebei Province, and flows south to Miyun Reservoir via Gubeikou. The Baihe River originated in Guyuan County, Hebei Province, and flowed into Miyun Reservoir along the way, including Heihe River and Tanghe River.

3. Yongding River

Yongding River in Beijing is one of the five major water systems (see River), the largest of the five major water systems of Haihe River and the largest water system in the city. It flows through 27 counties and cities in Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Hebei, Beijing and Tianjin, flows into Beijing from the south of Youzhou Village in Huailai County, Hebei Province, passes through Mentougou District, Shijingshan District, Fengtai District, Fangshan District and Daxing District, and leaves the city boundary from the east of Cuizhiying Village in Daxing.

4. Juma River

Juma River is the only perennial river in Hebei Province, one of the five major water systems in Beijing and a tributary of Daqing River. Juma River originated in the foothills of Taihang Mountain in the northwest of Laiyuan County, Hebei Province, and entered the market in Taogang Village, Dushi Town, Fangshan District, Beijing. It flows through Dushi Scenic Area, Zhang Fang Town and Nanshangle Township, and is divided into two tributaries in Zhang Fang Village, Zhang Fang Town.

5. North Canal

The North Canal, one of the tributaries of Haihe River, is the main stream from Tongzhou District to Tianjin and the northern section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. It was called Baihe, Shui Gu and Liuhe in ancient times. Its upper reaches are Wenyu River, which originates from the southern foot of Du Jun and flows from northwest to southeast. It is called the North Canal only after Tongzhou Beiguan meets Tonghui River.
