Heze College is located in the beautiful "Peony Capital of China"-Heze City, Shandong Province. Heze, called Cao Zhou in ancient times, is the hometown of Sang Zi and Yao Shun in Fuxi. It has become an important political, economic and cultural center in the Central Plains for several times, enjoying the reputation of "the best in the world", and is a famous hometown of calligraphy and painting, drama, martial arts and folk art in China.
Heze University is a provincial full-time undergraduate college organized by Shandong Provincial People's Government. The school's predecessor was the Second Normal School in Hebei, Shandong and Henan, which was founded in early 1949. 1August 1958 was transformed into Heze Normal University. In May 2004, the Ministry of Education approved Heze University as an ordinary undergraduate college. In 20 12 years, the school successfully passed the qualification assessment of undergraduate teaching work of the Ministry of Education.
After more than 70 years of construction and development, the school has now become a university with coordinated development of multiple disciplines. It is the first batch of application-oriented undergraduate colleges in Shandong Province, the first batch of excellent Chinese traditional culture inheritance demonstration schools in Shandong Province, and the AI+ smart learning project pilot school of the Ministry of Education. It has successively won the honorary titles of provincial civilized unit, provincial garden-style unit and advanced unit of teaching management in colleges and universities in the province. Since its establishment, it has delivered more than 1.9 million high-quality talents to the society.
School education and teaching facilities have been gradually improved. There are 4 campuses, with a total area of 1.436 mu, a building area of more than 590,000 square meters and a total value of teaching and research instruments and equipment of 200 million yuan. The school has modern teaching buildings, student apartments, libraries, experimental buildings, engineering training centers, art studio centers, various lecture halls and gymnasiums. The library is rich in books, with 2.2 million paper books, more than 800 periodicals, 2.52 million electronic books and 44 databases.
