Yongchuan Museum is located at No.801Wenchang Road, Yongchuan District, Chongqing, with its back to Chashan Bamboo Sea, Fairy Lake Park in the west and Changzhou Ancient City in the east. Construction started in 2009 and was completed and opened on 20 18. It is an important platform and carrier for Yongchuan's natural history and culture, popular science education and cultural relics display. The project is located on the east side of Shennv Lake Park, covering an area of 3.93 hectares with a total construction area of 20,000 square meters.
It is divided into four halls: library, archives, museum and chess house. The main building of the museum is an antique frame structure with a construction area of about 9,000 square meters. It is equipped with a landscape river about 600 meters long and three arch bridges across the river.
Architectural composition
The exhibition hall is divided into three floors, covering the fields of nature, history and humanities. The main exhibition areas include beautiful Yongchuan, vicissitudes of life, dinosaur home, natural treasures, ancient road pursuit, mellow Han style and prosperous Yongchuan. In addition to the display of basic historical relics, it also focuses on the natural exhibits such as Yongchuan Dragon and Turquoise Fossils in the upper reaches, as well as the paintings and calligraphy works represented by Chen Zizhuang, showing the elegant demeanor of the hometown of calligraphy in China.
There are more than 700 sets of movable cultural relics/kloc-0, with nearly 5,000 pieces. Including stone tools, pottery, porcelain, jade, bronze, iron, wood and other categories. Among them, there are 9 national second-class cultural relics and 60 national third-class cultural relics, which span from Neolithic Age to modern times, mostly in Ming and Qing Dynasties.
